Really considering a busa... but still a newbie...

Its been a day you fuckers LOL Give me some time, some of us work during the week. Haha I still want to stop by a local dealer to take a good look at it. Going to swing by Riva out here in FL sometime soon.

Nothing to look at except WTF you're going to do to it once you get it
Tell your job to suck it and take a vaca day and go buy that bitch

Not just yet. I keep checking CL and Ebay for 2008+ in black in good shape for a decent price. Really hoping to find one that was not molested and where the person has the title in hand. I haven't given up on the dream!

Rode my first sports bike today EVER. I have always rode cruisers (Yamaha Stryker, Harley Davidson Fatboy Lo) so it was...different. The feel of being hunched over will take some getting used to thats for sure. My Stryker has forward controls and a huge rake so its like a chopper.

My buddy let me borrow his Yamaha R1 today. I'm a big guy, 6'3 245lbs. I found the R1 to be pretty damn small to be honest. I was nervous because he told me the throttle can be twitchy but I got used to it pretty fast. Keeping legs in that position is a bit different then what I'm used to, not necessarily in a bad way. So far so good! I felt like his hadlebars could be raised a bit for comfort......

My buddy has an 06 R1 and I can not get used to it to save my life. The steering is very loose and its handles vastly different than my Gen 2.

That ‘hunching’ over is nothing like a Busa. Sure it’s different from any cruiser but nowhere near as tilted forward like a racing jockey’s position is. The pegs are lower and more underneath, the bike is wider, heavier and has a longer wheelbase.

Good to hear, thank you both for the reply. I sat on a busa in the showroom floor of Riva Motorsports here in South Florida. It felt a lot bigger than the R1, I liked that a lot. To me, the busa just looks so sinister. I have a very fast car so not new to speed, but speed on 2 wheels is a whole different feeling.
