We've all talked to some less informed folks about our bikes. Some just dont know and others need help with thier velcrow shoes... Anyway, I heard a good one at the gas station the other night...

"Is that a Hayabusa? I heard those were illegal in NY"

I didnt even know what to say to that, Its not a Hand grenade, its motorcycle.

That was one of the best "duh's" Ive ever heard. Lets here the stories guys, I know you've talked to some ill-informed folks lately.

Honestly I've just never had that happen When I'm not on my bike I'm either at bike nights with friends, or with the bike club members I ride with.
Either way they all know their bikes, so no dumb questions or statements

Myself and Deal were at a gas station getting a drink and a guy and his girl come out. The guy makes some small talk about the Busas then told his girl they both badass bikes but the silver one is the faster of the two types of bikes.....

The best one I had was cruising down A1A in Miami Beach sitting at a red light when 2 guys w/girls on the back of their rented mopeds pulled up next to me and asked me if my Busa was a 500cc or 600cc bike. I told them it's only a 250cc bike then the light turned green and I never saw them again.

Of course then again I did take a girl out for a ride one day and then the next day she posted on FB that she had a wonderful ride on a ninja motorcycle. I guess the 9 Hayabusa/GSX1300R/Suzuki/Hayabusa.org decals on my bike make it look like a Kawi . And she wasn't even Blonde. Needless to say I had to reply that it wasn't a ninja and I guess she was paying more attention to the rider then the bike.
