Rearset Options

As a pretty tall rider, I’ve noticed a little bit of problems in clearance for my knees under the tank, and was hoping some rearsets could give me the space I need, bring my feet slightly down and back.
Can anyone give options on some budget friendly adjustable rearsets? I’ve seen the Buell mod already and am looking more into that, however wanted to see if rearsets would be feasible as well.
Thanks

I have seen the thread titled “show those trick rearsets” however it seems that most of those options are in the $350-$550 range and outside of my current options. I know others have mentioned eBay sets (that look similar but much more affordable) but I can’t seem to find those posts again.

I know US company Vortex makes a more reasonable price , honest performing set .
I am sure you could check one of our Org. sponsers for a quote on a set or even ask them for their best price most any rearset out there .
You can google Vortex Hayabusa for instance to get an idea of what this set looks like , and maybe also Hayabusa rearset images to get a look at what's around .
Good hunting mate !!

I bought my Driven rearsets at almost $200 less than what they should have been sold for. Worth every dollar spent. I would be very weary of "ebay" branded rearsets. Buy a quality set that a good company stands behind.

Depending on where you are located, you're welcome to try out my rearsets to see how you like them. Tons of adjustability.

+1 on the Vortex
But, if you buy them used, be careful, as they have only had the option of lowering the pegs for the last 3-4 years.
Anything older looks the same, but only adjusts up and back, not down.

Really cant go wrong with Vortex products. They've been in the business for quite some time. I like the Driven pieces because they have quite a bit of directional mounting and the foot peg is on an infinitely rotational disc for adjustments. It's also capable of GP shift if that's what you want to do.

Also note that Driven has two different rearset options. They have the TT set and the D-Axis set. I have the D-Axis set.

On Ebay right now. Retail price is $561. Same ones I got.

Vortex are really nice. I have a set in a box that I would sell, but can’t remember if they can be adjusted down.

That would actually be much appreciated, I’ll have to take you up on that at some point! I just saw your post on my other thread and see we’re not too far apart

Mabupa if you happen to find that out, please let me know. I would certainly be interested in them
here are the pics of the ones I have. They seem like they are the ones that have the down, up and back adjustments. Maybe @sixpack577 can confirm. It already has a master cylinder with a braided line and the required hydraulic pressure switch. The shifter side has the shift rod and linkage too. As you can see in the pictures, the finish has some wear from the riding boots. Also, notice the switch has several washers stacked and the reason is that those switches tend to have longer threads than needed. After working with my brake system for months, I realized that the threads could be cut and cleaned to shorten them, so that’s what I did with my clutch brembo master cylinder switch I installed, so no need to stack crush washers and worked great. If you want them, send me a PM. These sell for about $350 new, without the switch.

I can't tell by looking at those rearsets if they adjust lower than the stock pegs or not.
I am unsure of the exact date they changed.
The Vortex rearsets I put on my gen2 did not adjust down.
You could measure from the mounting holes for the frame, to the center of the peg, in it's lowest position.
Then measure the stock ones, compare, and if the lowest position on the Vortex is roughly .75" to an inch lower, then they are the later design.
You could email or call Vortex, as there should be a number on the inner side somewhere. Revzilla may even know from that.

Also, for what it's worth, the model number on those no longer ends in "A" as the model number is now a "K" according to the website so those may be older production models.

This is directly from Vortex' website. Typed the part number into Google and was able to find them that way.

Worth the price if deal is still available and know that the stuff on Ebay are cheep China knock offs thus the cheep price some work & some don't or they send 2 left sides. For a little more $ you don't have to worry, piece together extra parts or make what they send work.

I had a set of Vortex rearsets on mine. They are somewhat adjustable up down etc. They are nice. Good grip. solid build and look good at a good price. That said keep in mind that the pegs do not fold like the stock do. Now the shift lever does but not the peg itself so if you are leaning hard keep that in mind.
