ABORTED...

Winds picked up and just about blew the balloon away...lost all the tethers...gonna have to try again tomorrow....
 
This is what happened 2 years ago. They only have a small window this is costing Red Bull 6+ figures a day....
 
Makes you wonder with the millions of $$ that Red Bull pumps into projects like this, do they sell that much more Red Bull due to a sponsorship of that level? Or maybe just that much profit in the drink.

Don't forget that Red Bull owns two Formula 1 teams, and the "primary" team has won the world championship two years in a row. Dietrich Mateschitz, one of the Red Bull founders, is a billionaire.

He's now having to put off til Sunday because of weather. There is a rapidly shrinking window of opportunity before sponsor pull the plug...

P.S. Today is also the 65th anniversary of when legendary pilot Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier.
