thanks everyone. the treo 680 costs bout 250 if you get a plan with it, about 400 w/out plan.
the tom tom gps w/ palm gps brick is 150 to 200.
this thing does everything. i can stream music off the internet radio stations ( free) hundeds of stations. the tom tom gps lets me have 3D color navigation with voice turn by turn, i can seach for things like resturants or parks or any point of interest, and when i tap on the poi it will dial the phone number for me! the i get traffic camera warnings when they are comming up! i get real time traffic and rerouting to go around it. i can also get weather reports and thats all with just the tom tom gps program.
the treo does everything a laptop can do and more. check out palm.com for more info and colors (white, copper, red, blue, silver, graphite i think?)

Very cool indeed, I was thinking about doing the same exact thing with my 8525 and BT GPS receiver...
Those mount look nice and for $65 you can't go wrong...
Question though, how easy are they to pull out? Easy enough so that I can remove it at night w/o tools?
Also how did you attach the holder to the bracket? I'm thinking about getting a cheap transparent (waterproof) case and zip tie it to the mount... I don't fully trust those clamps, especially with a $500 phone.
