It is still a sad day. I remember hearing it on the radio while I was working on 22nd Street in Manhattan. Cousin Brucie (great radio personality) put together a fitting tribute the following day. I was really dumb-struck because I had run across him several times down in the SoHo several times, loved his music....And then he was just...Gone.

Love him or hate him, John Lennon's impact on music was profound.

I grew up on the Beatles--I remember watching football when the announcement was made. He and the other Beatles set an entire new trend on music. RIP!

Very sad and tragic day, especially considering he just started making
music again but mostly because he seemed to finally have some peace
and some issues resolved in his life and then....bang.
