Replacement horn

Are those using the WOLO BadBoy air horn also using the relay that comes with it? The instructions seem to indicate this is needed due to the increased current draw of the air horn vs the stock horn. What do you think?

the relay is if you do not have one already, as if you were to install one right to the battery i think. i just got one of these and would like to see a pic of one mounted to see what angle it fits best in. my motor is out of the bike so there is no radiator in so i am not sure of clearances, hopefully someone has a pic of this installed.

I installed mine a week ago. (Stebel)

You can run these off the stock wiring but you are more likely to fry the horn button and the wires hooked to it. These horns require a dedicated 20A circuit. The Stebel horn comes with the relay already. Use the stock horn switch/wiring to fire the relay, not the horn.

I mounted the relay with the fuse box under the left panel (hole drilled already) and then ran the new "Fused" hot leg to the relay and then to the new horn.

Sounds like a miniature 18 wheeler

(and will get their attention)

I think I would get the Stebel. It's 139 vs 118 db and $39.99 every day vs $44.99 HF is back up to (sale over).
