Replacing those awful front and rear foot pegs

Hi, Im new here. Ive been a BMW man for years, but my K1300S was getting tired at 64K miles. Enter my Busa. So far very impressed, but a few things letting it down. One being the awful foot pegs.

Ive tried unsuccessfully to find a suitable replacement for front and rear pegs. I found these on eBay for the front, but there dont appear to be any available for the gen 3 rear pegs.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

There is a great deal of foot peg discussion but no one appears to have mentioned the rear. The front only has the hole for the pin. The rear has a second hole to house the spring and ball to allow it to lock on folding.

I installed these and I really like them, nice and comfy! I used the same drop set you posted and I bought the dually set and did a little machining to combine the two sets. Take a look at thread “List all your Gen 3 Mods” post #26 for more in-depth description. If you don’t need drop pegs the rubber padded dually set is plug and play. The knurled drop pegs are also plug and play but combining the two requires machining one part. I’ll be glad to help you any way I can, I hope this helps.

Just bought a Gen 3. I had reservations about these. I put them on to try, made a huge difference. I know they're Chinese, but the quality isn't bad.

Thanks guys for the info. Yes a gen 3 registered on 30 June 23!! The fastest colour!!?? At the moment not quite, only had the first service done on Thursday so still running in, although its time to start opening up that throttle.

Ive decided to order the ones Ive seen on EBay, I really wanted them to match with the back, but for now I leave the rear stock pedals alone in the hope that at some point somebody will make some.

We have a motorbike show here in November so I’ll hold off until then before I get too stressed about it. In the meantime, if anyone does come across rear pedals it would be great to have the details. ( I prefer the knurled sport type).

Thanks for your help.

I use those vario pegs on my Gen 3 Busa .. they added 25mm / inch of leg room and they provide transformed the bike into a comfortable bike for a long ride out

I pretty much have these same pegs for the rider and the quality seems decent...I do recommend them.

As far as the rear pegs are concerned it seems as if these companies have not manufactured a rear peg that has the correct width along with the bearing/spring hole.

Hopefully, they will come up with something soon since I would like a matching set for my passenger plus I don't like the mismatched look.

That’s great! Pics???
Thank you!

Just to let you know ahead of time that you will need to adjust your rear brake and shifter down a few millimeters.

I went down as far as I could with the rear brake without it engaging the brake light but I wish I could go down a little more. Since the front and rear are now linked I really dont use the rear much anymore.

As far as the shifter is concerned I haven't adjusted it yet since I don't know how....I'll figure it out soon. I have learned to compensate by lifting my foot a tad bit higher for the QS to operate properly.

Isn't there an adjustment for the rear brake light switch that would allow you to go down farther?
