Request: Engine bench testing how to

I want to purchase an engine or two seperately to have as a spare.

I will purchased a crashed or otherwise not perfect motorcycle to salvage what i need for my projekt.

Please can someone inform me how to bench test these engines for compression?

I have a 97 bandit 600 and i can just link the starter directly and she will turn. It is my understanding that it will just simply work the same. Looking forward to your replies. Thank you for your warm welcomes. I look forward to getting my project up and running. I have some cool ideas for the summer =)

that will work jumping voltage directly to starter
remove throttle bodies or hold throttle WOT

maybe also consider a leak down test

No point in purchasing a scrap engine as i still need certain components.

This projekt will be cheaper than the OM606 build i wanted to do lmao. Only six injectors costs roughly €2,800 euro which is ridiculous lol. I can buy an entire dry sump system for that cost >_< more useful too!
