I do. Here in the Me State (Washington) most other drivers are rude and self centered. They don't pull over for anything unless it's right behind them with a blaring siren. I've seen many drivers speed up excessively to avoid stopping for a school bus.

If I didn't have a good job here I'd leave in a heartbeat.

People here hardly ever pull over, they're more apt to just fly right by.

I was raised that way, to stop...but if im on the highway with multiple lanes I just turn my lights on for them if they're coming in the opposite direction out of respect.

On a 2 lane road I pull over and turn my lights on out of respect, if I should happen to be on the freeway durng a porcession for an LEO headed the other way I pull over, get out of my car and bow my head in respect till the LEO procession passes..it's all just courtesy

It's a Southern thing I think.. where I was raised near St. Louis I don't think I ever saw anyone pull over for a procession. In the south, traffic comes to a complete stop.... all lanes.. even on a 6 lane highway.

It moves me to tears when a military procession comes through because there are people standing all along the route holding flags.. old to young, veterans, active military, and civilians alike. :usa:

Well, this is the first I've heard of pulling over for a funeral procession or of a police escort for a funeral procession, so no, I've never pulled over.

I was taught that you didn't interupt a funeral procession - wait for them at stop lights, don't cut into the line, etc. But pulling over, especially for one headed in the opposite direction, no, unless they turn in front of you. :(

Same here.

The first time a saw this was in 86 whe a used to lived in Tn.
they don't do this in Puerto Rico.

About 2-3 months ago I was going down a little 2 lane hwy on the Busa and a funeral procession was coming toward me. So I pulled over on my bike and shut it off and just sat on my bike and waited for them to pass. As I was watching all the cars go by I kept noticing alot of the people in the cars were kinda looking at me strange and a couple were smiling and a few were even pointing at me. Towards the end of the line of the procession I finally figured it out. They were pointing at my green mohawk on my helmet and my hologram visor that has two big eyes on it. I rode on feeling good that I made some of them laugh that day.

And for God's sake when you are the lead car at a red light and an ambulance is coming up behind you with the siren on and can't get by in the turn lane, run the damm light and let them through. Don't sit there like an idiot waiting for it to turn green.:beerchug:

I pull over and stop, You always should to show respect.

I was driving down the highway today and a funeral procession was coming towards me with a police escort and every driver (incuding myself) pulled over to the far right and came to a complete stop. Is this tradition that we have in Oklahoma honored all over the country or is this just something local to me?

We do the same here . - Respect .

 And go Where? I've been damn near everywhere else bro, it's worse...

At least here we've got the scenic beauty, women that aren't all plastic and useless, and for the most part people are pretty darn nice up here, polite too... Mostly.

I will have to agree with you Jules.. its probably mostly a southern thing... most Yankees... I mean northerners don't stop nor have much less ever heard of such a thought. only 2 places I cant say anything about from experience is Washington and Alaska since I havent been to either of those states.
