I have never heard of a reverse gear for the Busa, but if there is one someone around here will know. Good luck with your project and be sure to post pictures.

to the board...someone may be along soon who knows the info you are looking for but just in case, here is a link to a forum where they do a lot of karts and cars with Busa motors...someone there might have a little more info on a trans with reverse...of course, you can find almost anything you want to know here about going forward, we just don't spend much time backing up

The best solution will probably be to install a small electric motor to handle the occasional reversing duties.

Pm goldenchild , If anybody knows the awnser to that it will be daniel and he will know where to get it . they put busa engines in sand rails and minis theres got to be a way

kinda like the one's that are on the goldwings... if I'm not mistaken, they are electric. another option would be to add an external reversing unit off your final output shaft, then you could have a 12 speed!

Stator motor +1. Besides you don't need a reverse gear!! forward is the fast direction. Just smoke the tire and do a doughnut. Not to be a stickler but I am pretty sure the T-Rex has a Kawi ZX12 motor, you might have better luck getting a reverse answer from them. But if you use a busa motor your trike would be way better than a silly T-Rex. Good luck bud.

Waste of a good bike engine. The hayabusa the fastest bird in the sky and your about to cage it

im trying to stay as light as possible with the car my goal is around 1000 pounds lower if possible but im makeing a four wheel car so IDK. so iwould like to stay away from the whole ele. motor and such but if thats what it comes down to hell with it ill put a motor on it hell itll only be like what maybe an extra 100 pounds? IDK. im a sheet metal fabricator so the hard part is not building the car its the putting the busa motor in the vehicle thats going to be the difficult part. i thank you all for your warm welcome and to you all that say its a waste of my time how about i take you for a ride in it with a 300+ HP motor in it then we'll see if you say its a waste then

T-REX bikes have been built with all kinds of motors. ZX12, Busa, ZX14 & A Harley V-twin are just the few I know of.

Sorry, I dont know what they use for reverse.

Contact Greg at Hyberbikes Performance Center. He has a T-rex sitting in his shop.
