Pashnit, I'm confused; do you have a Gen 1 and a Gen 2? Or do you have only a 1 or 2?

Both. I got the '00 blue/silver way back when- it was practically brand new. Then got the '08 when that came out. Heavily customized the '08 for touring + did two Iron Butt rides on the Busa. You can read the thread here: over 1000 pics of the transformation: 13 pages of mods.

Wow! I had no idea you'd sold both Busas; the Z1000 does look like fun!! I've checked out your mod thread before, but will have to revisit it when I can!! No doubt you have much less room for touring mods on the Z1000; correct?

I have a little moan about its small 16.5ltr tank and poor pillion facility's but after 8 years its still here, I always come home with a mile wide smile so its doing some thing right.

An enjoyable morning. Went South for a change. Only a brief 285K's (177 miles) but I missed this mornings rain, had a nice breakfast, enjoyed some fun roads, and was home by 11.30am, just starting to get a bit too warm.

Got in 150 on the Busa to break in a new rear PR2. Only Busa at Alice's today. You sure can tell the difference in a tire with around 8,000 on it compared to all the tread on a new one! Got home, took off the right side fairing and changed the oil and filter. Man they sure put this one together with care and attention. Not saying Busas have problems but I haven't had even one little glitch with this one in ten years, bought new in 06 and now with 58,422 on the odo. I have to give a lot of credit to Amsoil synthetic engine oil too. After draining I poured it into the gallon jug the recyclers provide and there's maybe a cup missing...after 5,000+ miles on a motor with nearly 60,000 on it. Love that Amsoil! Nice not having any spare nuts or bolts laying around afterwards too!
