Road Tested Gear, and Bike

Damn DeWarrior...so glad you had that gear on! Can you even imagine riding without it that day?

So sorry about your Busa though...looks like it sustained damage that can be fixed though...Ebay will become your best friend

Thanks VaBusa. No I can't imagine riding without my gear that day. I wear it all the time (well 99.5%), except for pants that is. I have been meaning to get some riding pants but have never gotten around to actually doing so. I have been inspired to get some asap now though. I am so lucky that I spent all my time on my back and shoulders. With that luck and the gear I had on I got up and walked away with no medical problems. Without the gear I would have sustained serious head injury, probably broken shoulder and wrist, and major road rash on both arms and all over my back. It doesn't bear thinking about.

Last September I went racing around the NC mountains and Deal's Gap for three days, riding hard enough to toast a brand new tire, without any protective pants and never gave it a second thought. Never again.

Hey Warrior, glad you're O.K. dude. I've got some things that may help you out also. Here is a list of items that I have that I will give to you. Stock windscreen, exhaust cans, and front/rear turn signals. They are yours if you pay shipping. I'll have to dig in my box of goodies to see what else I have, but those items I have for sure. Just let me know dude...especially if you're going to do the repairs on your own.

bacharles, you are unbelievable! Thank you very much for the offer. I'll probably be dropping you a PM next week sometime.

No problem dude. It's family over here at the org. If I've got it and can spare it (afford it...) it's yours. I'm by no means a saint or anything like that, but a lot of people here offer help in times of need. I'm no different. When I had my accident last year, I can distinctly remember "Rhythm" sending me an email and offering me just about anything I needed and if he could help me with. There were a few other members, but I just can't remember all of them at this point (sorry guys/gals). I know how I felt when I went down, but insurance took care of everything, and because I knew certain people...well...let's just say I pocketed roughly about half of the insurance money

. I wouldn't sell them to you because if someone came up to me and asked for them...then I would give it to them anyway. Not logical to me to want to sell something to one person and offer the same thing to someone else for free. In my book, that's what I call "scheisty." I realize that I don't know you from a can of paint, but should that matter? All that matters is that we are a family here and we do help each other out whenever we can. So take advantage of it man. It's all good...

Brian

P.S. I'll be checking my email over the weekend just in case you hit me up.
