I'm considering buying this kit for my 08. Has anybody whose bought one having any problem with it? I dont want to spend that kind of money and be disappointed.

I plan on doing a whole lotta 'real' riding. What's going to happen to my ride quality?

Dude, if you don't know you may want to look into it alittle more.

But on the pluse side you will score some major poser points.

Talk to Brad he will help you out... this is what he said on the OSD kit:
"the kit utilizes a single chain because it doesn’t use a jack shaft so you get better performance, less weight, less maintenance, more power to the ground, better handling and not to mention the look that you’re going for……."

+1 on the "if you don't know what it is going to do to your handiling you might want to do some more research" However you can do plenty of "real" ridin with a fat tire. And honestly anyone that will tell you different is not in the spirit of the .org and the argument can be made that they are the "posors" which doesn't really mean anything anyway. If you are going to lower the bike make sure you get a upgraded spring for the rear shock to avoid bottoming out. I just dealt with all things chrome (google it) for a 240 conversion I am building for a guy and they were more than helpfull. I stayed away from roaring toys because I have heard awfull things about there customer service. But some guys swear buy them and they do have nice products. But you really want to take the time and do plenty of research before dropping that kind of loot. May I also suggest air ride for all your rear suspension needs............plus it is just really cool and comfortable.

Alot of people consider the twisties real riding.

If your thinking of getting a 330 kit I can assume you dont do alot of the twisties but rather go for the straight line runs or normal riding conditions, Im there with you. Ive strecthed mine 6 1/2" and I havent noticed alot of conering differences but then again I havent had her on alot of twisties since being stretched, My normal riding conditions are in town and around the city, So conering is not an issue. Now if my normal riding was twisties then I probably would have left her alone. Im going for looks and what I like. I myself wouldnt go 330, Maybe 300 but even that is pretty wide, 240 / 250 I think looks awesome and you wont loose at much of your conering ability. But whatever you decide, Good luck. I have heard good thing about All thing Chrome and also the Badd about Roaring Toys ( But just hearsay ) Also if you can do it without a Jack-shaft its less moving parts.

I heard a lot good thing from All Thing Chrome too and bad thing from roaring toyz until Brad himself reply my email numerous time. Basically, Brad wants people who already set their mind in what they want for then he will be more than happy to help you out with the pricing. I myself will be getting a 250 kit from ATC.

If you are NOT an aggresive knee dragger...then your fine to go FAT. The 330 OSD kits are great....Ill be changing that direction soon my self. I have a 330 jackshaft now. If Brad tells you he has the kit in stock go for it. You can also check with JACK at Full throttle motor "www.busaking.com". Ive been e-mailing him and he has some intstock also.

THe fat 330 is a big change if your going from stock to a stretched fatty ride. You have to spend time on it and learn to ride all over again. I ve been there and feel....REAL good pushing my MULLET thru the twist. Dont let the HATERS of the fatty fool you. YEP ...thats right. I will say it this time for sure.

Every time here a member ask any type of question on a fat tire kit...there is always an AZZ that crap on the thread. Answer their question or stay the heck out of it. If you tooled on one in the parking lot....NOT enought exper to comment on the FATTIES. From all my post here in the past.....most members should KNOW that I thu my 330 in the turns, I drag race it, and show it. ITs still a sportbike and is used for that. NOt every one drops $$$ on the busa with a fatty to keep it in the parking lot or tailer. Comment what you KNOW and not what you heard. IF YOU are the Knee dragger in every turn...then dont click on the fatty threads. ???PLEASE...its getting old here!:moon:

Check out the RC Components setup. Im very happy with my 240. I believe they make a 330 kit also.

If you do go with a jackshaft set up 330..check out MyrtleWest. thats where it will come from anyhow if you pick a jackshaft arm from RoaringToyz.

So are you saying that knee draggers and parking lot queens can’t reply to a thread because you don’t think they have any experience and don’t like their point of view???

I think anyone who is going to total change the geometry of a motorcycle should know all the good and the bad no matter whose feelings it hurts.

Get in contact with Steve at Tricked out Custom Cycles,he will set you up and give it to you straight.

can most likely save you some $$ Roaring Toys prices

I personally like the wide tire, not sure about a 330 kit though.but its all about what you like, they wouldnt sell it if ppl didnt buy it, air ride would work nice with that:whistle:

goodluck

A big tire out back is not for everyone. I love the look of it but could never justify doing it according to my riding style.
