RoaringToyz 330 kit

Go for what you like. I liked a 240 and that is what I got. It rides differently than stock but not much difference. I can personally vouch for ATC. They treated me great. I probably called about everyday. They took time to explain to me. I have even called after I received my bike back from them. Still, good customer service.

Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers but I was under the impression that the :poke: was the equivalent of giving someone a 'friendly-joshing ya man- poke' while the :beerchug: is 'cheers man' it'll be great...

If cruising the boulevard is his idea or 'real riding' then so be it... he'll just have to wait until the twisty-guys come back!

So are you saying that knee draggers and parking lot queens can’t reply to a thread because you don’t think they have any experience and don’t like their point of view???

I think anyone who is going to total change the geometry of a motorcycle should know all the good and the bad no matter whose feelings it hurts.

IMO

If you like to give your opinion....why not have it be about the topic! He asked about a 330 kit from Roaringtoyz. NOt if a 330 will change his riding. THat is what I was refurring to. Hey if the thread ask if stretching or a big tire will jack his handling...by all means chime in. THere has just been why to many post about views on fatt tires and stretch that have NOTHING to do with the thread topic in general....thats all. Every one is free to give opinions.

Fatt tires are not good for drag racing....HP reduction of spinning mass!
Fatt tires will slow you in turns untill you learn to work the bike with more effort!
WHy then the fatty.....PERSONAL PREFERANCE..YES
Does it make the bike a boulivard cruizer.....NO. Only if you did not know how to sportbike ride in the first place. Yea the KNee draggers will get where ever first...so what.

Enough....not going on a big bashing debait, some here thrive for it. Each to there own.

A big tire out back is not for everyone. I love the look of it but could never justify doing it according to my riding style.

Same here. There's a point at which it looks bloody ridiculous, but on the whole fatter rear tyres do look nice.

I have to disagree with the members who advocate "real" riding. I used to ride a Ducati and, if you read those forums, they think ALL busa riders are posers who don't know how to "really" ride.

Bottom line: motorcycling is not a logical pursuit. It's not about practicality, it's about passion. And if we all liked the same thing, and all rode the same way, we'd all ride the same bike.

You like it? Then buy it and tell everyone else to sod off!

Just my 2¢ but lets reverse this scenario. Dude buys perfectly good 'cruiser' and spends many dollars and hours to convert it into a sport bike.

Now, (for the sake of wanting to be different!) does that just seem redundant?

His money so he/they can do whatever the heck they want, but...

Are you saying that just for having a fatt tire its a cruizer? Let me re think what you said " A guy removes his 300 tire off a cruizer to install a 200 tire, so he is now a sportbike".........Oh my

Or better yet removes the 240 off a M109 to install a 190....its a sportbike now:rofl:

Like you said its their money....to make it their personal prefurrance style of bike what ever class it may be. ( not always about being diff.....but to have it the way they like it either its your style of real riding or his way of real riding. IT can go on for ever.

No man, basically what I'm trying to say (but didn't put very well) is why buy a 'sport' bike and mod it to cruise up and down the street. They make bikes for that specific purpose... they're called 'cruisers'.

Speaking for myself here but if I wasn't interested in riding a Hayabusa the way it was designed to be ridden, I wouldn't have bought one. Maybe that kind of thing is big in the US but up here we don't have posers. The boulevard cruiser dudes (& gals!) buy cruisers and those of us that like sweeping corners and twisties buy sport, no confusing or blurring the two.

Either way it's all about personal preference, makes for some interesting talk!

I suppose the touring guys are laughing at us when we discuss which luggage etc. works best with a sport bike! :beerchug:

 YOur still saying the same thing. The topic in this thread is about a 330 kit. SO to mod a Hayabusa with a fat tire kit.....keeps it from being a sportbike ( or from being riden like a sportbike). ???

I roll on a 330 and ride it like a beast...not just straight, not up into a trailer, I ride like like it was ment to be riden. Ya, I dont knee down in evey corner, but I work to get close when I FEEL the need to ride like that. ** Around here I would be in front of 70% or more of the guys riding stocker sportbikes becasue they dont ride to the fullest of the bike they have**. I have a Bud that also has a 330 and a sidewinder pipe...now he does NOT ride like I do. He may fit your thoughts.

Just so you and everyone else KNOWS......there are 2 words that I dont use or like. The "N" word toward blacks...eventhought Im not, and the word "POSER" witch is directed at me for rolling a fatty. BOTH are harsh words to me. IF all mod bikes with or with out a fatty are posers...then all blacks are "N".....See what I mean, ITs not like that. PLEASE excuse my text but the only tru thing to me that I could think of to explain it.

If you like two things that may work against them selves in away....do you just avoid them? or do you go with it and make the most of them both together and take it to the fullest.:beerchug:

Like we been saying this can go on for ever. Back to the topic.
The RoaringToyz 330 kit...what kit are you looking at spectificly. The OutSide drive one or the Jackshaft kit?

Rod brotha-you know by now that every time one of the "im thinkn of stretchin/ goin big tire" threads come up, all the "i dont know anything other than what I've heard from all my other dumbazz friends who never had any real live experience either, but love to hypothesize" Haterz are OBLIGATED to come outta the woodwork and tell the newb how stretched bikes are sooooo hard to turn on the street, and fat-tire bikes are always parked in somebody's driveway or parking lot:poke:

I love to hear from 'real riders' that do ZERO track days, have ZERO track time, and still think because they can scrape their knee goin around the turn on that one back road by their house, their better at riding motorcycles than every other turd who DOESNT wear a full 1-pc leather race suit every time they ride the bike:whistle:

For the guy lookn to 'go big'-do some more homework on what type of drive system you want to go with-outside Drive is $ but better performance, but for just riding your bike and enjoying it??? Jackshaft will work just fine...some folks *unlike BigRod* arent always beatin on their bike like a Red-headed stepchild and those jackshfts tend to last alot longer.

Classic  I love the look and was headed that direction now that I moved my bike from Colorado back to DC where the riding is totally different no canyons to carve, lots of good info here in this thread on what to look for.

Sidenote: I think the disconnect comes because their seems to be a lot of older guys here that like what they like and believe that anything else looks ridiculous, myself being a 30 something thinks saddle bags, trailers and all the other bulky accesories on a Busa looks ridiculous and I often say why not just buy a crusier ??? then I remind my self "to each his own" and everyone has their own preference. Also I think people don't take into account geographical areas, DC for instance is all crowded city streets that's the majority of riding unless you want to drag knees hitting a hgwy ramp or drive way out MD,VA,WV or PA. The Busa is a Sport Cruiser which means it's perfect as it is but is also setup to be a little more sport and less cruiser or vice versa or even a little more of both. Either way it's still a Busa that is doing exactly what the owner wants it to do and I love all of them no matter how much chrome, paint, bags, huge wind screens, trailers, sofa like seats or whatever else can be mounted on the beast.

CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG:laugh:

This is the same story every time... Fatties can't do this and they don't do that. I find it hard to listen to someone one that doesn't own one.:rulez: It's like me trying to tell a pilot how to fly a plane and I have never been in the cockpit. Picture that!???

Own one then speak on it… That “I heard†or “they say†just doesn’t cut it with me.:poke:

Now back to the original question. What was it again???? Oh, roaring toys 330. I can’t speak for Roaring Toys and would hate to fall into the “I heard†or “they say†category so I will about ATC (allthingschrome). They made my 300 swingarm and it is top notch. 7000+ miles on the 08 and no problems to date.

"Ridden like a sport bike"

The word was in general reference man, not slinging it in your direction. I was referring to the type (from reading your previous posts to which you are obviously not) like your bud that mainly do just that, up and down the main drag beaming 'notice me'.

Point taken man, point taken.

Canadia doesnt have posers?
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I'll clarify.

We have posers all right; the type who'll buy a sport bike and all the apparel, ride it to and fro from the coffee shop and that's all. The type who never wants to participate in either group rides (to which I might add I'm not very fond of if I don't know their riding styles or habits) or an invitation to just do a little one on one ride.

What we (so far) don't see here in little 'Edmonchuck' are big 'ol fat tire mods on sport bikes. Lots of HD's & custom choppers with meats but no sport bikes...

Very well put! That's the attitude I'm going to adapt and adhere to from now on...

For Slo Mo......when are you getting to DC? Outside the city...there are twisties to be found. Im in Nothern MD at the state line....for good clean road twisties I have to ride 45min + in either direction to get to them thu.

Oh and again back to the topic if he is even still check into his thread that turned to a debait. The 330 jackshaft vs a 330 outside drive.....outside drives Im finding at good prices. The MULLET will soon be changed over to an OSD setup to free up some HP loss from the double chain. Plus for service....you have one chain to keep an eye on vs two chains and jackshaft bearings.

I drove the bike there 2 weeks ago with my furniture in a Uhaul btw shout out to Harbour Freight that $70 wheel chock was perfect and I didn't even have to mount it to the floor; but yeah I'm just waiting on a job in the area, I kept my house there on capitol hill and my stuff is there, I'm just not trying to leave my cushy IT job in Denver yet, hell we just got 10K bonuses part of that was going to a 240 Kit so I've been searching on what's better, sounds like you know a thing or two about it. I'll be in town the weekend of the 9th.
