Rode my first harley today.

Its the HD crowd who insists on "loud pipes save lives" and this is causing issues with the general public.

Its the stunters/runners that are giving sportbikes a bad name, and this is causing issues with the general public.

Both sides have "bad apples".

Ps: I rode a fatboy once, my legs went numb from the damn vibration. Rubber mounted engine models are not bad. Not my cup of tea. Way overpriced for what you get. I'd like to try a Vrod someday.

Maybe it's A D D, but I get bored riding slow. When I want to ride slow, I'll take my pickup and not worry as much about soccer mom on the phone killing me.

you can go out and find a suzi 1400 intruder for like $2000 and do this and save the rest of your cash for t shirts:

My brother has had 2 brand new harleys an 05 and 2006,the 2006 is a dyna street bob.The 2005 failed with 25 miles on it they pulled the engine and tranny out sent it back to the factory and they sent a new engine and tranny with the vin# to match the bike. The 2006 street bob has had the tranny repaired 2 times, the first was @ 3800 miles the primary bearing was totally shot! The second time was @ about 12000 miles the COMPLETE tranny had to be rebuilt!

If Harley was the only bike around i wouldn't freakin ride! They are over rated, over priced,un-reliable,under powered JUNK!!! not trying to offend anyone just my feeling about them. And Big surprise my brother said he will NEVER have another one!

That's why they say 95% of Hardleys are still on the road. The other 5% actually made it home. I know it's a

I just rode one of these new Yamaha Raiders and is I was buying a cruiser, this would be the one for me.I would need a new set of bars cause my arms are a little too short, but this bike is COOL. The paint on this thing with the tribal flames is awesome!!!

Love my Busa!
Love my Harley!
Bar hop on my Harley;
Ride my Busa when I want to have fun.
Best of both worlds!
I'm 57 years old.

Harley's aren't that bad. I have ridden a few of them and they have a different purpose. When I was looking at a new bike in 06 I tried a few HD's out they were fairly comfy and good for a casual cruise. Then I tried the Rocket III and Yamaha Roadliner, both of those bikes seemed better than HD to me. I still ended up with a Hayabusa I always seem to get taken in to the speed thing. When my wife gets outa school then I may get an Ultra Glide or a Goldwing for now I need a good all in one bike and Hayabusa does it for me.

To each his own.. I too was a never going to own one of those oil burning, yard art bikes, but alas I gave in! To my surprise I love it... Nothing like I ever imagined! In fact just the opposite, reliable, smooth, head turner. Some of the youngsters sound like me just yesteryear.... Give it time young grasshopper, could be your taste will change! I use to love McDonalds Happy Meals, now I'm a steak and seafood kind of guy.

You all are by and large missing out though, seriously others will vouch for my Harley-Hater Cred. But I'm telling you the New 2007s, with the 6-speed trannys, fuel injection, and 96CI motors are pretty damn nice.

New FatBob is pretty cool...

Don't keep running off at the mouth unless you've ridden a new one. The 2007 was a pretty damn nice bike without any hesitation. It's good and not "For a Harley" but they have been paying some attention and their stuff does improve...

Just stay the hell away from the Ulysses... Don't get me started about these freaking things.

You just have to approach them with a different set of expectations. Coming right off the Busa it can be shocking just how ineffective the brakes feel, and how underpowered they feel.

But compared against others in the class they are competitive...

So for more money I get less performance, braking included?

The last time I went motorcycle shopping, I compared 2 wheeled vehicles to 2 wheeled vehicles based on my body size and performance expectations.

I am fortunate enough to be able to afford any production bike.

I have a busa because in won in every category. Some of them hands down.
