A guy I know has a Busa and offered me a ride on it the other day. He told me to take her out on the highway and run her through the gears. Not being the bashfull type I accepted. I was awe struck at the upper end accelleration, indicated 210mph, no problem. That damn thing has HP! Oh hell yea. I dont care who made it the fact is thats badass power. Iam impressed, and some of you guys want more? Are you crazy? Dont answer that! Whats next, 300mph? Nice seat too! Gota admit it.

Kong, see we weren't telling you bull.

Now you can see why we are not going to listen to the Kaw or the Bull Shi*, till it really hits the street in the spring.

It is not about who built it, it's all about what it is and thats POWER!

Kong your buddy must trust your riding a lot.

There's only two guys I let ride my Busa. One I've been riding with for 35 years solid so I've got no choice except to say yes when he asks to trade bikes. But he stays fairly calm on it thank God because he knows it makes me a little nervous when he tries to lay into a corner and has to make a mid-corner correction right in front of me.

The other is an ex national champ dirt rider and road racer that I ride with who's now a dealership MC wrench. He rides an H-D dresser. He never asked me to ride my bike and isn't the kind of guy who ever would. I asked HIM to ride it, knowing how much he'd love it and knowing he never gets the chance to run rice rockets balls out any more.

Him I trust completely, so I told him to really use the bike.

He took off alone for 1/2 hour on good country roads and came back with the biggest blank (see that Chase, I can do it!) eating grin.

He pulls his helmet off and says very calmly, "Well I just set a personal record."

'Nuff said.

Still don't think the Busa feels that fast - until you try and stop, then you realise how quick you were going! plus the long gearing doesn't make the bike feel that punchy, one tooth off the front sprocket would probably cure that!

Mind you I'm used to a tank slapping windblast of a ride known as an R1 which feels faster than it really is coz it's such a handful!

Of course I know the Busa IS fast, I was keeping up with my mates hard ridden ZX9C2 in a straight line whilst short shifting (running in) - and ZX-9s are missiles!
