Rough running when cold ?

I am also in Dallas and have not noticed that condition, tomorrow I'll try to start out with out the normal minute I give the bike to warm up.

I am located in Dallas, but When I first start my bike it tends to be really rough leaving from idle until I get some heat into it. like the heat needle needs to be about a 25% up the scale from the bottom before I get consistant revs on idle.

Anyone else experience this. We have also noted one other thing it doesnt seem to happen if the pink wire is cut, but when it is reconnected it cough'n & cut'n out comes back.

FYI, my pink wire is connected :)

Here in California (it's around 50 degrees in the garage first thing in the morning) I'm seeing the same issues. When I first received the bike, it wasn't happening, but it's been getting worse and worse.

Just like on the GSXR750, there is an idle sensor & circuit. It will run rough until the temperature is great enough. After that it will be quite steady.

I haven't had any idle problems yet,it idles good in the morning before going to work at 5am/5:30am.I start the bike with the throttle thumb advance on the left handle full to the rear, let it run for 1/2 minute then back to full off on the thumb adv.No problems.

I tried letting it warm up. It didnt seem to have that stumble off idle. I guess I just need to let it idle a bit before I take off.

But I still cant get over how cool it sounds when I set the wheel down after a wheelie and hearing it bark. I never heard that on my GSXR1100.

Mine has never been rough when I start out, but I do let it warm up enough that the temp needle has started moving up while I get my gear on. It makes a couple grumbles when I first start it, but that goes away quick once the oil starts moving. Its been in the high 30's low 40's here too.

I think the fuel injection is a huge improvement. The only problem I have noticed is that when the revs get down to around 2500, just a little positive throttle will feel like it is running out of gas, but since it's rarely ever down that low, I doesn't happen often.

I hoped that the fuel injection system would eliminate the choke and "ruff" starts all together; but i guess not. My Busa kinda sputters for about the 1st 1/4 mile in the morning, but after that...it's fine. Same as my 2 GSXRs...."ruff" in the morning...
