Bikes in neutral idling fine, drop it down into first or up into second and rpms go up 3-400 ?
Shift it back into neutral rpms fall back to regular idle ?
Strange but my seat-of-the-pants-o-meter tells me she is a bit off as well.
Any ideas or suggestions as to what to check or look for ?
Bike has never done this before. Shifting into gear never affected rpms ?
Always used two fingers and haven't changed anything.

Keep your hand off the throttle

Seriously . All the sudden in the last two rides I've noticed it .
Neutral idle is fine. Drop it down and it surges and I can feel it begin to pull just a bit. Now normally on a bike if you engage the clutch or it starts to move without you giving any more throttle the rpms will fall and bike will bog but mine is now surging when I put it in gear and if I let clutch out a bit it doesnt bog.

My used 09 did that when I acquired it. The clutch wasn't fully engaging and tightening things up at the lever fixed it for me. Good luck!

My buddies bike does that... we haven't figured out what it is yet. He has a xtre on his that might be the cause.

My '08 has done that since day one; nice smooth idle in neutral; slightly faster rougher idle in gear with the clutch slightly off the bar when I pull the clutch all the way back to the bar it idles the same as neutral.

This has to do with the Gen2 switching between different ignition maps based on gear and clutch position.

i called you a douche because you came into blanca's thread and started talking crap. that's not how things are done around here man. no one called you a tard when you were asking about led's and other random crap. this isn't just a forum, this is a community of riders man. mess with one, mess with us all. don't get so wound up, lol

Saiid, what electronic/fueling mods are you using? X-TRE, PC, etc?

Why ya call a big douche? because i am right?

I would like to see you say that to my face, son.

He probably said it because he is right... Internet tough guy...

Does it give you any other issues? Normal moves around a bit based on age and use. If the girl is giving you no other issues, I don't see a problem?

THIS IS ORGE SUCKING ****, HAhA, lol

I think you might of joined the wrong forum...we are adults here.

I asked my buddy if he narrowed it down some....He said it only does it when he puts the high beam on. he has HID's too and in your video the high beam light is on also. Maybe it is a voltage issue that the ecu doesn't like.
