i have an o5 stock busa with only 433 miles on it . i do have a full muzzy on it but it keeps falling on its face around 6500-8500rpms. its running rich for some reason.i bought it about 3 months ago an it only had 39 miles on it the owner had no time for it so it sat in his garage an he claims he would start it up from time to time.it acts up after riding it for about 15 min. an it will get worse uless i shut it off an wait a couple minutes . does any one have a clue?

do you have a power commander and is it tuned for the muzzy full exhaust.

+10000, get a PCIII usb n a Muzzy map-in the meantime if you're not running it, switch to 87 octane gas this will make fuel easier to ignite (91-93 oct. isnt needed unless you have major mods) mite help a lil bit.

If you don't have a PCIII, you will definitely need one. If you do have one, you need to get the correct map for your setup (muzzy full system). also, check on your air filter. if it's an aftermarket, you may want to consider going back to stock, as I have heard that the stock air filter is less restrictive than some aftermarket filters. Also, as you say that the previous owner just let it sit in his garage, you may want to check if any critters may have tried to nest in there, and partially clogged the filter in the process.

def. start with pc. If you have a pcusb i can send you a map. cause you probably dont have the cd anymore. You could have a clogged fuel filter.

What do you mean my falls on its face? Does it die?

thanx for helping. the bike is bone stock no mod except for full exhaust. i asked a local shop an he said it shouldnt be that bad of a stumble . an a i shouldnt need a pc just for a full muzzy? i checked my stock air filter it looks as if it has only 39 miles on it.and i checked an its critter free.

Does it do anything above 8500?
it seems to clear out for a second but it will try to burn up the tire as if i was cluthing it to do a rolling burnout an then does the same thing. the funny thing is the guy that put it on dyno said he got it to do it but he would shut it off an start it again an it would be fine for a couple of minutes an go back to the same thing.

when i say falls on its face i lose power an she bogs down over an over an bucks. if i hit it hard it will do it even harder but pick up an haul out for a second an then do it over again. it doesnt die

thanks to all u guys. im new at this im not sure if i answered every one . i did take it to a so called fi guy an i wasnt impressed he didnt even try to see if any codes come up before he put it on dyno an when he told me that i went an took it back in a nice way. he had a dyno an said its def. running rich an he said it shouldnt do that with just a full muzzy on it. has any one ever tried that cobra fi2000 fuel processor.

You said it sat with the previous owner, but have you changed out the fuel? If it had 39 miles on it when you bought it, how many does it have now?

Just to let you know that all codes are erased as soon as you turn the key off. He might have known this; that's why he didn't do it.

I would get a pcIIIusb. Your plugs will need at least cleaned if it's running that rich. If it's had old gas running in it you may need to get the injectors cleaned and no the stuff on the shelf won't cut it.

i now have 433 miles. ive ran about 5 tanks give or take. one guy did say run 87 an i have been putting 93 in it every time
You didn't hurt anything by putting 93 in it so dont worry about that. If old gas has ran through it, than your injectors are probably varnished up and need cleaned. You'll want to have a shop do it.
