S&W .44 magnum accident.

I received this as an email from a co-worker. I don't know anydetails other than what is below but I thought you guys might find this interesting.

A guy came into our department the other day to ask a favor. He had a S&W 629 (44 Mag.) that he wanted to dispose of after a mishap at the range. He said there was a loud bang when he tested his new hot load and the gun smacked him in the forehead, leaving a nice gash. When the tweety birds cleared, this is what he saw.....

I wonder what kind of "Hot Load" he tried!?!

::11 I find it amazing he didn't sustain serious injury or death! One lucky SOB

Too hot of a load, too much charge...we have done it here at work from the bench just to experiment.... same type of accident that can happen when you fire Overpressure ammunition(+ P) on a non rated fire arm....somewhat common in .45 and 40 but mostly on 38 special and 357 revolvers........excess chamber pressure goes BOOM!

Very lucky guy to just have a gash

Your already shooting a 44 mag...how much more of a "hot" load do you need.

If you need more bang...get a bigger gun...50 cal maybe or a desert eagle ???
