Saw a black CBR1000RR in person

Holy moly what a ride. Sweet city. Solid black with minimal markings. Very very nice. Very narrow. What a looker!!!

But geez, the seat is absolutely the hardest, thinest, poorest excuse for a saddle I have ever felt. You would not believe how hard it is. I guess they really went for the race-bike thing. Ouch. Honest I would love to buy one (especially in all black) but the seat is miserable - so bad it might prevent me from buying one. Just plain silly to make such a nice bike with such a poor saddle.

the bike is heavy as hell for a litre bike.
it's not that fast.

Saw one at the local dealer still in the crate. WWwwhhhheeeeww, somethin very nice for the eyes. Comin a close 2nd to the 04 R1 for nicest lookin wheels.

Yeah I noticed that the tank is kind of rotund and in your face. The wheels are really nice looking and seem ultra-light looking compared to the monster spokes on a Busa. The exhaust looks really nice also as does the swingarm.

I'm telling you the bike looks awesome! I have not riden one so I can't say personally but MC mag said it was unbeliveable - like "one solid billet of unobtanium" all working perfectly together - and this is what makes it stand out from the rest. So much so that it actually seems slow because the power is so smooth and the delivery is so tractable - more trustworthy and useable especially at the limits. Those reasons may be what will make it a great race bike.

If it was more peaky it would seem stronger to you on the street but not necessarily a better bike.

All I can say is for a Jap bike it looks awesome. As does the new R1. Both are really nice and way better than past Jap designs IMHO.

I like it...I haven't actually seen one but the pic is trick...I think the zx10 is the best looking of all, but the 10 and the hon look alot alike to me...Exception would be the exhaust...

All black, can't go wrong there. Looks good but I"m waiting for that someone out there to think that they can show up a Busa. You guys know that it's coming. From the new honda or R1 or the Kawasaki,I know I'll be waiting.

All black is really nice, but the blue,red and white one sucks all time. Old 954 was as nice in red as this one in black in my opinion.
Silver R1-04 is THE nicest looking thing on the planet right now. If it wasen´t for the lack of torque I would buy one...

I'm just sayin the way it rides was poop to me. It also came in last in every litre test.

It is nice looking...I rode one the day I picked up my Busa actually, one word: Smooth. especially for a litre bike, unlike the GSXR1k. You don't have to be a pro to go on it. I think a newbie might even be alright on it...maybe. as for the seat, of course its hard as a plank...its a honda.

I met a guy with one of those and his friend had a Busa and I got to ride with them for a while. The bike looks nice and handles very well. It's not for me though.

That is a nice looking bike...BUT......for over all beauty, style, comfort, design, and just streamline bad a$$ looks, nothing and I mean NOTHING touches the Busa!

Of course I am a little prejudice....so I guess I should include that's IMHO.

See... this is one good thing about this board and Busa owners in general... we can all appreciate each bike for what it is and what it's for. Regardless of make, we know that the R1 and CBR, etc, etc. can all be great bikes that have their own purpose for which they shine.

Try talking about the ZX10R or CBR on the R1 board or vice versa. Just goes to show that we're a more enlightened group of riders.
