Seat? to corbin or not?? is it really worth the $$

I can't knock corbin (been around for a while) but my personal experience with seats I pick tobin.190lbs,5'7,36 waist

with the stock seat I had a problem with the passenger falling into that space between me and the rear seat because I ride my bike like a dirt bike (nad's to tank) but the above tobin pic you can see the space is gone. And the passenger is more stable.

Corbin is the only way to go if you are riding any kind of distance. I used to use the stock seat for local rides, much softer for short rides it is good . But on long rides the stock seat would get uncomfortable so I would switch it out with the firmer Corbin seat.

I find if I ride for over 2 hours, I get numb butt!

You like the corbin, have you tried the gel or the tobin?

P.S. Why would a "firmer seat" be better for the long rides? I would think a softer seat would feel better

Actually the Corbin design spreads out your weight and actually (well it's what they say anyway) comforms to your BUTT over the first 1000 miles. I've had Corbins and loved them all, and yes they were hard and kinda uncomfortable the first several 100 miles. But after that they were great, that is UNTIL I put one on my TLR (seat very simular to the Busa) and it was Pure Pain

. That's why I am going with a Tobin now, along with the looks

If you ride regularly with a passenger then the Corbin passenger seat with backrest is a worthwhile investment. I ride a lot with my wife and she appreciates the Corbin. You do need to "break in" the seat though, it's pretty firm when new, but conforms to your shape over time and gets more comfortable with use.

So far I haven't felt the need to replace the stock seat up front however, so I can't comment on Corbin/Tobin/Gel differences.
