Second Gear ?

Probably, may have to pull the wheel a little more forward. If you do much highway cruising you may not like that much gear though, that's about equal to 6 more teeth than the stock 18/43 and will raise your rpms at least 500-600+ at cruising speeds...and get used to wheelies.:DWith my 18/47 and a 55 series rear tire the difference is more like 18/45.5(due to the taller tire knocking about 1.5 teeth off of the true ratio)and is plenty of gear for general street riding(I had to add 4" of wheelbase just to keep the front end down in 1st gear). If you were Arch's size(which is like riding 2 up all the time...no offense Arch:D)then a bunch of gear would be fine, but at your 175-185 I personally wouldn't go that much(if I ever go back to a 50 series rear tire or lose 50 lbs. off my fat ass I'll drop back down to a 44-45T on the rear).

Yes it will fit the stock 112 link chain. https://www.hayabusa.org/forum/threads/chain-sprocket-combo.182231/
My speedo was off 16.7%. Fixed that with speedo healer magic. I have yet to lift the front wheel with this setup. It has to be an intentional wheelie. It won't just happen out of the blue. I weigh 210lbs.

Must just be mine, front end would come up at around 10,000 rpms in 1st gear every time from a roll on and that was even with stock gearing(maybe it was my extra 40 lbs.:D).

That must be it bro,I really don't know of any Gen II'S that won't pull the front end up in 1st gear at WOT which have had the ECU reflashed, tuned with a good aftermarket pipe, etc.(especially if you're over 240 lbs. and carrying a full tank of gas which really ups the center of gravity, under 200 lbs. and carrying only a gal. or so of gas maybe not so easily).I have several friends with piped/tuned Gen II's who are seasoned racers(and under 180 lbs.)running stock gearing and SWB(also lowered with front end strapped)and even they have to somewhat ease off the line.Maybe a totally stock piped/untuned Gen II(which would be down probably 15 hp)won't come up so easily but mine(and all of my friend's)sure do.My friend Chris in the pic below is as good a racer as anyone I know and even at 170 lbs.,lowered and strapped with stock gearing and SWB still has to occasionally short shift at the top of 1st to keep the front end down.

Guess it all comes down to how fast you roll on to WOT. Mine will stay down as long as I roll it open easy. If I just drop it the front end will come up easy or I will spin out, depending on how hot my tires are at the time.

We need to be reminded Mr. Gibson ~ Pirate Diver has an on off quick throttle . . .

That's pretty much why I went to a 4" over arm, friend has a Gen I and weighs 70 lbs. less than me.Every time we did a roll on he could pin his while I had to ease into mine and would just barely edge him out(and the 70 lbs. didn't help:D)by the top of 3rd gear. The short video below is from 2nd gear on when I was SWB as there was no way I could go in 1st(and that was with only 18/44 gearing and a 200/55 rear tire...now I can go WOT with the 18/47).Had to wait for the H-D to get out of the way:D

Same here, and rather than get into a pissing contest over advice I'll move on.Sprockets are cheap, people can figure out on their own what works best for their riding style.

I usually do since I've never been comfortable with the whole pre-load the shifter/roll off the throttle thing, though some people seem to be good at it.In the process now of getting another co2 shifter with auto shift just for shits and giggles.Ever since I broke my left hand and did some nerve damage my clutching has been a little iffy so may let the button or auto shift take over from here on out.:D

I wasn't trying to get into a pissin match. Sorry if it came across that way. I was just stating that my bike don't go wheels up. Maybe I'm just being to easy. But keep in mind I don't drag...maybe I got lost somewhere. Please accept my apology.

No problem at all bro,I was the one gettin' a little pissy so an apology right back at ya(guess I'm gettin' a little senile in my old age:D).
