That is a couple of quite useful perspectives on visual attention and airflow, @dcnblues. I have the RCS17 (and 16 for the clutch) CC RR billets with short leavers on their way, but despite my full SS hardline and Hel flexible swap outs I am still going to not get anywhere near the feel I had playing around with on an ABS free RC 8C today.. sad and yes short leavers should help with the rotation as I am maxed out at the moment. My guiding principle would be that the eye is drawn to the gloss, but passes over the flat. Think of the eye like the wind: it wants to flow. I'd keep the diffusers flat, but that's me. * And from the fitment side of the equation, especially if you're tall, make sure those levers are aligned with your forearms for ergonomic comfort. ie, they may want to be rotated down a little. ** the stock master cylinders can only rotate down so far. I'd like them down further, which is why I'm considering brembos...
I think I probably will go matte for the Inner Dash Panels and the Meter Panels (diffusers). The next question is what should I do about the front wheel well panels namely:
- Front Cowl Cover (top of wheel well)
- Under Inner Front Cowlings (middle side pieces)
- V Panel (bottom piece that joins the belly pan fairings)
What do we think they should be? The V Panel matte and the upper wheel well panel gloss or all matte?
