Shaky Mirrors 08 Busa

My mirrors do not vibrate noticebly.
Are you sure its not you shaking with fear?

Pine???

Absolutely positively no fear. They aren't all that badly shaking most of the time, but certain times they jiggle around too much, like I said before mainly when idling at a stop light or whatever.

My ORANGE 08 seems to have very crisp clean mirrors. I can't see anything in them but my elbows , without moving them to see. But no vibration problem. You might want to torque everything from the mirrors to the motor. Some people fill their bars to dampen vibrations. Perhaps heavier (depleted uranium?) bar ends or such. I ruled out tire balance whan you mentioned "stopped". If you want good mirrors try a DL1000, my winter bike has the best mirrors :cheerleader:

If you cannot eliminate all the vibrations, check that the mirrors are locked in place (they fold on the bike), perhaps the "elbow(s)" are loose. If everything is tight & right could be an idle effect...running on three cylinders so to speak. I ruled out tire balance whan you mentioned "stopped". I added to the post ...no edit button.

Er...maybe it's because I ride a Ducati and a Bonneville too...but this thing is about as smooth as it gets isn't it?

I mean, how much does it matter that the mirrors shake a little at idle?

What exactly are you watching behind you at standstill?

Looks like it doesn't matter much to you, but its pretty annoying for me. You should definetly check your mirrors when your idling, and riding too. Just looking for a simple way to reduce the shakes, and it appears my bikes mirrors shake more then most of you guys, not sure why either, never dropped the bike or bumped the mirrors into anything, I've inspected the mirrors and attachments, and tightened any bolts I could find.
