On average what RPM (Normal riding... if there is such a thing) do you shift at?

Very true. Just didn't know how else to put it. I actually paid closer attention coming home from work today and although I thought I was in the 3500 - 4000 range I did find myself over 4000 without too much trouble.

buzzin' around i keep it within 4000 - 4500.

I usually shift when it bounces off the rev-limiter.

Otherwise, I usually cruise in town or in heavy traffic at about 5500 or so, so if I need it I have immediate acceleration. It's a good survival technique.

normal riding about 6000(don't ride to easy), messin around 8500, gettin on er 10000, any body know why I average 29 - 31 mpg. lol
