Shoei Neotec 3 and GT-Air 3 touring helmets released

My Neotec 2 is 5 years old, so during the winter I hope to treat myself to a new lid. I'm a bit underwhelmed with the Neotec 3 as my biggest problem with the 2 - the chinbar needs two hands to properly lock - doesn't seem to be addressed. Maybe I'll go full face.

Moreover, the weight of 1,700g - also 1,700g for the GT-Air3, @sixpack577, shows under the "sport - tour - city" graph - is quite a lot in the age of carbon helmets.

On the plus side, the bigger vents and enlarged sun visor are welcome improvements.

I don't care about comms, but its strange that that no details are out yet. For the 2 it was Sena.

I prefer my own ear speakers, I bet the comm uses speakers only. I also use Cardo. But I totally agree with your comments on the Neqtech 2 and that the 3 is underwhelming. I bought my 2 the same time you did and was considering an upgrade. So thanks for this reminder @Miklos_HUN
You're welcome. My plan is to wait until the holidays, to see if the other manufacturers come up with something new at EICMA or otherwise and then decide, hopefully taking advantage of some sales.

I bought recently a neotec2 for the wife and for me a gt air2, both with sena slr integrated. Helmets fits like a glove a sena does her job well. She follows my voice commands better then the wife
The wife has got no problems with two hands chin lockin. That’s one of the reasons I chose the gt air2.
We almost never use the integraded sun visors, instead we have tinted visors.
The 3 series looks slick, but the GT Air 3's graphics looks a bit dull.

The nicest graphics I ever had on my helmet was the x spirit ukawa replica

Didnt want to create a whole new thread here, just a question. Has anyone got any actual experience buying from Waynesburg Powersports? They have some frankly unbelievable prices on helmets.

Got this for Father's Day along with the monimoto 9.
First test ride today I almost had to stop and make sure I had my helmet on  .
No wind noise or resistance.. love it... GT Air 3
