shorter swingarm options

Well my Swingarm showed up. And it's cracked.

Seen this a couple of times now.
Originally on Busa arms, more recently on two GSX1400 arms.
I wouldn't class it as common but its certainly I keep an eye out for when I have stuff in bits or I'm looking to buy parts.

here is the 01 1000 swingarm only put the arm on i didnt change anything else bolted up and is 2" shorter then stock wheelie machine

This is a new one for me. Haven't heard of this swap before.
A genuine straight swap? Using Busa spindle, linkage and shock ? No mods at all ? This is interesting.

I have the arm in. And with the matching pivot piece it barely fits together with stock busa dog bones. +1 dog bones are a no go as the shock hits the Swingarm before they are close. Anyone else have that? Also no chance of fitting with the stock busa pivot.

Shorter arm on with stock shock and dogbones. And the 01-03 pivot.

Also got these adorable little mirrors from a friend. Not sure how I feel about them yet.

only thing i know that was different was the dog bones were the lowering ones. but now i have the SRAD 600 head on and the busa shock hits the arm have a couple of pivots im going to try i want to raise the rear back up a inch or so and put busa shock back on i will keep everyone informed lol

here is my current custom setup with SRAD 600 swingarm grafted too vfr800 with 750 shock and lowered dog bones dont like the space between tire and tail needs more height

maybe ill have to make an adjustable upper or lower shock mount to raise it. its too bad the upper mount isnt like the gsxr. that would be a lot easier to modify. my other option is to machine out a pocket in the swingarm and plate it so i can use the raising links. although this setup with the k1-3 arm, stock links, and a 190/55 already handles better than the stock arm with inch raising links and a 200/55. it also doesnt seem to have lost ant stability in a straight line. but to be honest my other bike handles amazingly... but it gets a bit twitchy at the top of 6th
