Shorty pipes

Thanks man! I' ll have to try this set-up as soon as possible. It looks pretty close to the brake lever. Does it affect it' s use at all?

nope, the tips do touch the bottom of the stock pegs a bit though but really not a problem. Sounds like a straight up drag bike at WOT.

I guess I would have to upgrade to something else later, if I want to do the Buell peg upgrade, right?

Definately I would think. This is just what I did until I can find a good deal on some sort of carbon fiber exhaust...but the way things are going around here I may be stuck with it for awhile, lol. If I were to go on a really long ride I'd prolly swap the stockers back on for the day...only takes about 15 minutes to do.

Just cut the factory mid pipes $20 Is the most someone can charge you. its as loud as u want it and if u wanna go back to factory u can get mid pipes on ebay for like $50. I did it just cuz i dont like the factory sound. 1 year with it and im still not tired of it (until i find a really good deal on a brocks full exhaust:thumbsup:).

Hotbodies also sells them for around $270. Saving for an alien head would be better, but depending on your budget, that could be a lot of saving. The exhaust tips sold in autoparts stores are pretty much the same, but IMO the voodoo and hotbodies shorties look better (and sound nicer).

I was thinking the Brocks guy said the short megs do a little better on performance but the AH sure looks sweet, especially in black.

brotha please go to jegs.com and get them cheap... they are called hedman and they are resonated. they're fit on your factory headers and will cost you bout $65 for 2: then get 2 t-clamps for bout $15 each and you're good.....

are the boz pipes pretty good? they sound really good imo and i was just wondering how they hold up...sorry, dont mean to thread jack but im also lookign for shorty exhaust systems

I was looking into getting a pair of VooDoos but I would like to finish it up with some aftermarket headers. Can you guys point me in the right direction? Do we have a sponsor that provides just the headers?

Thanks

I would hunt down some used headers. might want to look for a damaged full system off ebay and ditch the midpipe(s) and cans.
