Should I get a tx-25 200 rear?

...don't know squat about that tire, but I would like to get back on your site but can not find it...what gives? Can you tell me how to get back there?

good price. great tire! have been using that tire for a long time and know a lot of pro's that race in the street class that use that tire. you can't go wrong with that tire.

Ranger I'm on my second tx200 and am very happy with it. But the things that make me happy about it may not please you.

1. Very superior hookup for hard starts. I run it all the time at 34 pounds.

2. Only medium cornering grip (but still more than the OE Slipstone) because of the shallow radius profile. I prefer this to high grip tires only because I like to slide my rear in corners. The ME-Z3 for instance is a gripper and will put you into a wheely during corner exits...I'm not comfortable with that.

3. Medium-to-good durability...slightly better than the OE tire.

4. It looks killer from the rear...noticeably wider. This is the most important reason to go for it.

5. Same as OE tire in rain.

Thanks for the feed back guys, I bought it, should get it monday, also the website is

If you cant get to it, delete all your temp internet files, and refresh other people are also having problems since we moved to another server.

Peace,
Ranger

The Tx-25 comes in ( at least ) two different compounds. The softes one is the Race 3 .
Race 3 is a very soft one but it needs heat to grip.

Ranger is this tire you're buying for $160 from a shop? What I'm saying is can we all get one for $160 or is it a special deal or something?

i'm not sure what everybodies preferances are but if your wanting it to hook up better, make sure you get the race compound!

think about this....the 190's might be a better way to go. in most cases, you'll get more contact face from the smaller(190) tire.

from what I was told there is only a limited amount of 200 series tx 25 tires around. Michilin stopped making this tire so it could be added to the pilot race series in a 200 form. Just my 2 cents... If you find em buy em all!!!

Pilot Race tires will be only as big as a 190
any bigger and they don't like to turn as well from side to side.

Pilot Sports are available now as 190's and will soon be joined by a 200 series tire.

TX25's are being dropped and there are some great deals to be found as sets from various mail order companies.

My self and another Busa I ride with are useing the Pilot Sports and are happy with them so far.

Frank... I don't understand how you get more contact patch with a narrower tire. Thanx for enlightening me.

Thanx for the education guys. I'm less of a dragger and more of a twisties guy.

Assuming twisties, does a 200 make sense on a Busa? How will handling change?

Lyle the 200 is an intentional compromise for me...I'm just finishing off my second tx25 200 now and will put another one on. I trade off a little twisties turn-in response and stickiness for hard launch hook up. I think roadracers like a 180 or a true 190 on the Busa. The ME Z3s (190 rear) are great road and track tires on the Busa.
