Sidi Vortice Boots

Thats a really good price on the Vortice boots, I also recieved the email, I have heard that if you do not do track days that these are almost to much on the street as it takes 5 minutes just to put these on, is this true?

I am still looking for a new pair of boots, I really want the vertigo's but they are the same price as the vortice now,

Never mind, I just watched some video's on STG.com and they are not for me, look very nice and safe just dont have the time to put them on and adjust them:laugh:

No such thing as overkill when your foot is caught under a sliding bike. Watch some U Tube videos of crashes check out what it does to ankles.

You've got a point. Suppose I'm just a little turned off by the additional time needed to put them on properly.

Just being lazy I guess :banghead:
At that price I may take a 2nd look at the Vortice's.

I wore some old alpinestar GPS boots for years till the leather started cracking and the sole was gett'in thin in the skin and then bought these sidi strada tepors...

SIDI.jpg

Reason #1: was mainly because..(like my aplinestars)... (and unlike the robocop fully articulated exoskeletally braced) the strada tepors have "all day walking" comfort...waterproof...decent protection..both are/were fantastic ST'ing boots.

Reason #2: was so i don't look like a 51 year old azzhole dressed in full battle gear in malls, stores, diners and walking daytona alllllllldaaaaayyyyylooooooonnnnnnng.

but i gotta tell ya'll...those B2's and the Vertigos are look'in purty sweet....
and would be a great idea for my 51 year old bones for that 5-10% of the riding i do when i'm NOT patronizing malls, stores, diners or visiting daytona...and i'm either out with the fast crew for a sunday morning or up in the mountains or gonne north central for the weekend...sure would be nice to hav'em should the unthinkable happen...but i'd like to think i'm old enough, wise enough and have waaay to much experience and respect for the streets than to ever actually need'em...butcha never know.

L8R, Bill.

Got mine too, in blue.

Never considered riding the Busa to the Mall. I patronize the twisties almost exclusively. To each their own.

All of you guys suck for having small azz feet. Im gonna have to settle for the SIdi B-2's. Just waiting for them to arrive.
You'll like em a LOT. I wear them on every ride, they're stealthy enough to go under jeans and not look like a total nut if you have to run to the store, but offer a good deal of protection for street riding and are super easy to get on and off. Comfy!!

as nice as these boots are, they are a job off and on... suppose after I run them on a few times it will get faster but I would sure hate to be in the pits and late for the start... you need 5 minutes to put your boots on... but boy are these NICE!!! vents everywhere, every concievable piece can be removed and replaced faster than you can put the boot on.. :) even the soles are replaceable...

very nice boot.... hope I never have to test them out but I will feel better knowing I have them on.. keep my A/Stars for street and road trips..

5 minutes? I started at 5:30 and still don't have the left one on.

I don't care, I look sooooo fast in them!!! I'm going to hang some bells on them so EVERYBODY is sure to check me out in when I've got them on.

Here is mine. The force is with me !
ya know we were talking about the "white" boots...

decided you better "really know" how to ride if you are going to wear them.. cause you need that speed to out run the "geek" factor...

the upside, I can wear my red A/Stars with little worry about getting noticed if you are anywhere near...
