Silly Little Clamps

Whats with the hose clamps connected to the gas feeds?????

I was putting my tank up on its stand to look at my airbox and found out the hose is too short and the clamp fell off, gas all over the place.

My question is.... Can we just use a longer house for the tank, if so how long is too long....

I was thinking maybe a foot of hose would allow easy acces to the airbox when the tank is on its perch.

Suggestions?

Just go get fuel injection hose clamps and install them. You can get them at most auto parts places. I hopw you will report this to the transportation safety admin. The ph# is in your owners manual near the back. Longer hoses will kink, there really is nothing wrong with the length, just the cheap
a s s clamps suck!

Thanks Bikenut

Is there a way to close the fuel off with the hoses disconnected or am I on my own here with a bucket?

adowell, empty tank remove pet-**** dremel or mill slot for flat screw driver(carefully) into face, the pet- **** is functional turn it half way. then splice in a quick disconnect into the return line. use new hose clamps.
