I am thinking about ordering would like to find out if anyone has gotten them and how do they like them

Brand-new fairing protector bobbins are made from High Density nylon plastic with aluminium spacers and highest grade steel bolts included.High impact plastic superior design, help to protect your fairing from damage in crash. These are slightly bigger than many other similar products in the market. No cutting or drilling required.

i thought all busa's sliders required cutting thru the fairings?? interesting. they look nice though!

"no drilling required" Complete BS! Don't believe it. The only place to correctly mount the sliders on a busa requires drilling, except for the high dollar bracket type mounted ones.

The ones you have pictured WILL require drilling. I promise.....unless there are brackets which bolt to the frame behind the radiator and thses brackets are not in the photo.

they replace the bolt in the side of the plastic. They do just fit in the whole and They do go into the frame, But small bolt would probobly snap or fold in a slide , Crushing the plastics in the process. defeating the whole purpose of protecting the bike. I bought a set and took them off I didnt see the point. No real protection going on. Just my 2cents

Thank you for the info.......

Help please I need to cut and I am scared to and i am not sure i can do it............

Off to find the mod on how to cut faring

Thanks again

Not cutting my fairing nope not gonna do it.. I got those cheap worthless ones coming..

i did the cut type and they came out perfect . i used a lazer to find the center of the bolt, put the plastic back on and drilled the hole. it came out factory perfect. I looked at the no drill type and think they will cause more damage than help.

The ones you show in the pic on the bike is what I have . They will not save your bike if it is moving that is what insurance is for ! BUT, they will save your bike if it falls over and thats why I have them on mine . And yes it has been tested out once with no scratches on the fairing. In my opinion they are worth $25 and not cutting your fairing . Like I said if you go down moving , you are going to be doing an insurance claim anyway.

Thats good to know, I just put them on mine they look good, I just want them in case I drop the bike... like you say moving will be a large insurance claim

(H00pscoach @ Jun. 21 2007,16:47) Here is where they are saying they go

One pair $25
My Daughter and son in law got me these for fathers day.. Will post pics when I get them on..

I bet even if your bike just fell over... the plastic would crack/shatter around where that "slider" is installed... the plastic cant handle the impact... if you buying them to protect your bike, spend the money and get the ones that require you to drill holes and mount through the frame and into the engine. I have Vortex sliders bought from a board sponsor... Jester (Josh Ryders Connection) can hook you up. Here is what they look like...

We used regular one that normally require drilling of the fairing, but instead drilled out the frame where the fairing bolt goes and tapped it, to accept the larger bolt. No fairing trimming required
