slip on /bolt on's & power commander?

1500 RPM's in first around parking lots, then at speed limit between 3000 - 4500 you can feel the sputter. Especially in you are in a higher gear with RPM's up you can feel it.
Same scenerio here with my rs3 Yosh duals. Was told it's just the nature of, "The Beast". Was considering getting the PC3r. Am told it is more customizable. Trying to figure out if it's worth spending $310 to get rid of a slight surge that is most often mistaken for a larger cam.

The question was "Can you do it" Not should you do it or what if best results. If you are not doing it for looks are sound then get a full system. Or get the whole system with the slip ons (Pc air filter and remove pair valve, then you are ready for headers later. For best performace get the works. For cost avoidance you do not need all of the stuff with the slip on's.

I bought some yoshi rs3 race baffle cans and put a K and N filter on. I noticed in high revs I would backfire every now and then. I thought maybe it just needed to be remapped with the extra airflow and cans so I bought a pc3. After installing it I haven't had a backfire since. Also I had a problem with the bike consistently dropping it's idle rpm down to as low as 875 when I first had it. After the pc3 I retwisted the throttle screw and set it to 1100 rpms and it has held it there consistantly since with a nice smooth idle. Also the reason I decided to try the pc3 was I found a hayabusa shop in NC that is a authorized dynojet tuning center so he gets mad discounts on power commanders. I only paid 210$ for mine in the original brand new packaging. The guy was really good to work with also. He told me he works on hayabusas mostly and i asked him with just slip ons would I need one. He told me " Well with just slip ons no I would say you don't but of all the busas I dynoed with slip ons there wasn't one I didn't squeeze about at least 3to4 extra ponies out of" . So that was from a dynojet tuning center. So basically it may help your bike run a little smoother plus some extra muscle. I'd pay a couple hundred for that but thats just me.
Where in NC was the shop?

I am at work now so I can't get the info on where it is located I can't remember. He sent me like 15 business cards with the PC when he shipped it to me. His name is Chuck Bowyer and the shop is called Hayabusa performance. I will check the card when I get home and post the location. I referred 7 of my friends to him and they all bought PC's from him to. His prices can't be beat

Well guys here is what I did, I also installed dual yoshi cans, K&N filter and had lots of popin and blue flame, so I odered Brock's Racing pair block off, I installed them last night the hard way and change my oil and filter, after putting the bike together I started it and to my amazed no popin, no blue flames and throtle response seems to be better but I only rode around the neighborhood it was just to cold to go further, hopefully this week I will get a chance to really run her and if need too I will get her fine tune, I'm trying not to purchase a PCIII, for what I do with my bike it is not worth the money(I'm not trying to race the shuttle in to space.

well, board just want to thank all of you tunning gurus, I took the iron dragon out this afternoon for a quick test after installing the block off and she runs like a champion no more popping or back fire I'm ready for Daytona I think this is my last mod for a while I'm reaching my happy level with my dragon, thanks again for all your postings.
