slipping cam sprockets

here in the UK I have never heard of a slipping cam sprocket on a stock 'busa or 750. I have fitted over 150 pairs of slotted sprockets and never welded one and to my knowledge none have slipped. I press them on dry. I know of one tuner that put oil on the shaft before pressing on and his slipped. I have used my own sprockets, APE and Falicon. If you feel the need for extra security I recommend Loctite rather then weld. the cams are cast and the weld is not worth a lot! HOW MANY CAM SPROCKETS HAVE SLIPPED, AND BY HOW MUCH?

On a high performance camshaft such as a Web with around 1mm more lift and stronger valve springs some have slipped. Web recommends they either be pinned or spot welded...mine are welded....adjustable sprockets of course...
