It's been years in the making. I took relocating my family to Houston Texas to find a job that could pay me enough that my wife could become a stay at home mom, that we could afford to have another son (he's 15 months now) and be able to save up for a house. That, my friends, was our little American dream!

Well, 2-1/2 years ago we relocated from Arizona and came to Houston Texas. A town in which we knew nobody except a cousin I hadn't seen since I was 16 years old. I found a well paying job and my wife quit hers to raise the kids. Goal #1 completed. She gave birth to our son Tyler 15 months ago; goal #2 completed. Today was the trifecta and we closed on the house that we've spend the past 5 months having built.

Today goal #3 was met and we became home owners!!!!!!!! What else can a man ask for???

It's a cookie cutter builders house in a neighborhood where everyone is shoved on top of each other but it's ours and all 4 kids have a room of there own plus there is a game room up stairs. I didn't think we could make it happen so soon but we did. What's the best part you ask??? The payment is $5 a month LESS than have been paying in rent!

Congrats on the house!
Looks like a great place and new!
May I ask what area of H-town?
I used to live in Houston.

But my place was no where near that nice and in a bad Hood as well, 4th ward.

290/mushkie rd. a few miles east of the outlet mall in Fairfield. 4th ward ain't no joke Bubba, that place reminds me of my days living in Southeast Washington DC.

damn man three dreams come true! That is so awesome on the wife staying home to raise the kids...careful they have a tendency to get board....

congrats on being big enough to dream and then actually go out and accomplish them :beerchug:
