The raccoon was just as scared as you were. He was probably thinking the same thing, "if that guy charges me with that shovel in his hand, I am going to tear him up". Now if it were my dog, I would of sat back and watched the coon get owned.

hey if your dog is such a sissy, go get my favorite- Great Dane!! Amy n I found a breeder in our area that has 2 females, 3 n 4-year-olds Harlequins, they're both beautiful dogs with great builds. Was supposed to get one from a litter this past may, but she lost the whole thing-had "doggy juice" imported from England. The sire was freakin MASSIVE!!! 210lbs, head like a basketball-guess his 'stuff' was too much for the 'ole girl. Breeder is going to try her female next spring with a diff. male-I can put you down for one- puppies weigh bout 30lbs when you get'im, and they eat $35-50 worth of food till 7mos-then its more like $80!!!

but that coon would make for a nice yard-toy... better than a Kong ball!!
biggrin.gif

if that critter keeps bothering you, see if you are allowed to trap'em then call DNR to remove it for you.

glad to hear she's doing better!

LOL.....yeah....I need a dog that big like a hole in my head! I'll just keep my wimpy but nice Golden Retriever....less work for me!!!
biggrin.gif

ok, but if u change your mind-
for scale, remember that I'm 6'7", and on my knees bout 5'4"...thats the 3-year-old with me

I dea lwith stupid chirping birds waking me up every morning..see the deer running around which is nice until they jump out in front of my car or bike........and now tonight........I let the dog out to take care of business and theres a freakin' racoon just laying in the front yard.......dog saw it before me and went after it.  Thank god he came back when I called him.  Any one seen a pissed off/scared racoon?  This thing was hissing and growling at me.  I grabbed a shovel and went after it...the thing stood up on its hind legs and growled at me....I'm not one to hurt an animal but if that thing got any closer to me I would of creamed it with my shovel.  It just stood there and growled  at me.....scared the crap outta me!!!
You not the only one...me and my coworker are in remoted area at nite (its a comm. college in town, but at nite, all kinda animal comes out for food...) and my coworker got jumped on by so called "borecoon" I said what? its huge racoon they have their own name...and they are not playing...he said "he saw me and stand there for 2 sec. and start running towards to me..." and he doesn't remember, how he got back to building...said about 3 feet tall, and very heavy looking...
