That is quite a ride! All those roads kick ass! I would love to find a place to stay on sat. night in L.A., orange somewhere. I can send my air mattress up by mail if someone has a lil space and a need to put up with me!

Man!!! That's gonna be an AWESOME RIDE!!! I've never experienced 7 levels and the back desert roads. I look forward to June 10!!!

I don't know how to post online, it's a big file. 1.4gigs Good shots of Thrasher, BA, dlwhatever, and Nomad. I'll be working on Valley of Fire and Laughlin next. I also have a local canyon vid, hehe.

Back from my 2nd test ride

Here's the plan for <span style='font-size:17pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:red'>Sunday June 11th</span></span>ride!!!

The ride offically starts at the IHOP in Redlands(1630 Industrial Park Ave Redlands, CA 92374), meeting at 8:30am and rolling at 9:00am.  From the I-10 exit on Alabama, turn south, then turn right onto Industrial Park AVE.  Everyone is invited to breakfast at 7:45/8:00am at IHOP.

Ride will be north on Alabama st/west lugonia/hwy38/hwy18 to Big Bear city.  Then hwy18/hwy138 to Cajon Junction.  Then hwy138/Lone Pine Canyon Rd/hwy2 to Wrightwood for Lunch(Grizzly Cafe 1455 St. Hwy 2 Wrightwood, CA 92397).  Then hwy2/Big Pines Hwy/Fort Tejon Rd/Mt. Emma Rd/Angeles Forrest Hwy/Angeles Crest Hwy to Flintridge.

Ride length from Redlands to Flintridge --- 196miles.
Estimated TIME with breaks and lunch --- 5 3/4hrs or 2:45pm.

For those in the Long Beach area;
Ride length from 91/605 interchange back to 91/605 interchange --- 296miles.
Estimated TIME with breaks, lunch, & breakfast --- 8 1/2hrs  or 3:30pm.

Estimated Timetable;
Around 7am, leave Long Beach Area for Redlands.
8am-9am, breakfast and ride meet.
9am-12:15pm, on the road.
12:15-1:15pm, lunch at Wrightwood.
1:15pm-2:45pm, on the road to Flintridge.
2:45-3:30pm, on the road back to Long Beach Area.

Gas is no problem this ride, and once again the times are estimated.  It's a group ride, so it could be faster or it could be slower.
