I also have a 04....but I couldn't get rid of the BUSA

They did soften and improve the seat on the 06, what he is talking about it being
more comfortable is that the reach on the CBR is much shorter than on the Busa
so he is sitting on the fat part of the seat on the CBR.

The 06 is much better than the 04-05's...

17lbs lighter
Improved suspension front and rear
Front rotors went to 320mm up from 310
More HP and Torque
Improved Ram Air and cylinder head
Increased compression from 11.9 to 12.2
Increased Redline from 11,650 to 12,200
Rear sprocket went up one to 42

Just so happens I sat on a new 06 CBR1000 yesterday in a Reno showroom. It had that blue and yellow combination for color and whew....looked really sharp! As far as liter bikes go, you picked the best looking one of the bunch, enjoy!! I've owned many Jaanese bikes over the years and as far as fit and finish, Honda is hard to beat!!

Exactly, I now have the option of using the skinny part of the seat to hang off or the fat part and still be less stretched...in theory. How do you like the power compared to the Busa? I imagine it will feel pretty anemic below probably 7-8k?

With the added torque and up one in the rear....the 06 is FAST

Your gonna love it....it's only a tenth or so slower than the
Busa in the 1/4 and will do 180MPH

Nice bike. I plan on getting a liter or 750 this summer as well. I want something flickable for track. But using the Busa on the track is helping me to gain more cornering confidence and is actually suprisingly agile.
