Speakers?

Could marine speakers be added on a busa and be effective, or would they be drowned out at highway speeds. I am wondering if the ones on harleys and goldwings are decent and if something similiar could be used. One of my superiors had the same idea also.
What do you guys think? Yay or nay?

Yeah, my boy Rhythm did it and it sounded sweet.  I could even hear it riding next to him up to about 50mph or so.  His setup was very clear, better than some cars.

He ain't pimpin' the sound system this year though.

Here's two OLD threads on some of what he'd done:

Edit: removed bad links

The problem with the Busa is that it doesn't have enough internal space for an effective sound system, at speeds or idled'. I  had to fabricate custom fiberglas speaker enclosures for my front, rear, and subwoofer on my Busa.

It was real sweet.  I am sure he'll chime in here with more details and pics tomorrow.

. I use my PSP to play music, music videos from BET,VH1,DVD movies ,T.V. show etc  using a sony software convert no longer sold. There are other MP4 converter software out there that will work just as good.

Heres a Sub hump I made for a fellow Busa Board member (DJ). He wanted a 6", mine is a 8"

Any poly type cone speaker will resist water, mine did anyway, but if you want to be safe, use any marine type speaker.  Seriously, don't waste your time with only using two speakers, trust me, you won't be satisfied. If all you listened to was rock then I guess you would be fine, but a Playa like myself need some boom kickn' in the rear so I can feel the groove.

(chrisarrington @ Jun. 17 2007,08:03) A couple of 2.5" speakers would do me.  That is awesome with a sub and all.
Thanks for the compliment.
