Speaking the truth of the deceased?

At my age, I am losing more than I care to, but I will not speak ill of those that have passed. I have been fortunate enough to be surrounded by good people. The good Lord has always placed me where I need to be and with the ones that I need to be with. Even the Org was a gift.
I know everyone has someone that cares about them, no matter how bad they have been, and forgiveness is not easy, but is required.
This is a hard thing to grasp, and I am not good at it yet, but I strive to change the way I think of others, rather than trying to change the person to fit into my expectations.
Deep subject and can boggle the heart and mind if not careful.

If I said it while he was alive to his face I would still say it after they were gone... Wouldn't do it at the funeral but wouldn't have too since if he was a bad person I wouldn't be going to to it anyway.

I would just keep my mouth shut and probably not even show up to the dead persons services. In my eyes showing up is paying respects to the person that passed away.
