Speedo error

I checked the accuracy with a GPS watch. Obviously I let enough time for GPS to catch up, by using cruise control on straight road. When setting a speed for CC and then returning to it, the dash shows the exact number, that's what I used.

52km/h on dash = 49.2km/h on GPS. (this was confirmed by roadside speed trap, it showed 49km/h)
53km/h on dash = 50.1km/h on GPS
133km/h on dash = 129.0km/h on GPS.

Accurate enough for me. On my 2018 GSXS1000 with the same method there was more, approx double the difference.

Gen-3 wheel speed sensor is on the front wheel. That’s why when you wheelie, it doesn’t work…
And that's what I thought but if you read the manual it states that it's on the rear wheel lol. At least with no Speedo here available I can change the sprocket without worries now. That was my whole reason for checking in the first place

Mines off a bit. 85 on the Speedo is 80 on GPS. Just off enough to be annoying now that I know it lol

ON my Gen 1 I went down (I think) two teeth on the rear sprocket and went from a 190 tire to a 195.
My speedo matches my GPS exactly when cruising - not so much when winding it out.:race:
It can't keep up.
