My uncle recently retired from the Air Force. He has a video from when he was over there for the Gulf War of him and some friends basically tee'ing off with those things. I always wondered why the hell he took his golf clubs every time he went over until I saw that video

We have sun spiders in good ol AZ also.  We have kept them in jars and fed them every type of insect possible.  No contest.

Ours are only up to 1-1/2 inch tho.

Their jaws look like the beastie in the movie Predator.

I see one of those 3" ones and it's gonna get a super-deluxe-Busa-burnout!

man i hate spiders ....arrrrggghhh but.... i love spiderman coolest comic book hero , whats in australia the black funnel web spider isnt that the most deadly spider ? , and i think i remember this right the "daddy long leg" has the most poisonous venom but it is so small and their fangs are tiny it cant hurt us

tbone, I'm sure I can, but I would much rather make flat cakes outta those little buggers.

And Rev...you say their particularly vulnerable to RAID? Well more joy for me!! One thing I found out growin up though: whatever was bad ass enough to withstand a coupla shots of RAID got my respect...as well as round two with my lighter and the RAID can.

I loved fryin those friggin insects that could stand up to Raid. Not too many things lived after I sprayed them with the lighter and Raid combined.

Want even more fun? Go get some Throttle-Body Cleaner. Then, have the lighter in the spray path. Viola! Instant fun and flamethrower!

I was told that the Camel Spider saliva will numb your skin when it comes in contact with the saliva thus allowing the spider to knaw at your skin while you sleep with out you knowing. Yuck!
