Sport Touring rubber

My PR5s did last anywhere near that long, I tried every combination of tire pressure to try and milk them along but they scalloped bad on the front....enough that I changed them out at around 4500kms........

and didn't buy another set of Michelins.....

The same thing happened to the front PR5 tire on my brother's Beemer....he went to Continentals
Scalloped: That would be the correct term for what I was trying to describe! One side looked like it had hills LOL
My rear PR5 went out last September due to road debris, but front PR5 lasted another 10k miles. I sorta agree with @sixpack577 tho...I probably should have replaced the front before it started being bumpy.

I have a mileage/maintenance log now so I'll keep closer tabs on the tires' conditions and actual longevity. If I have issues with the 6 series then I'll change brands for sure.

I'm that "nut" that has had good luck with Bridgestone.....they sponsored me when I was racing and it seems every bike I bought had them on......(except a couple Yamahas).

I had S21Rs on the Bumblebee when I got it and they were good, then I went to Michelins and although they handled fine, the front scalloped.....so I went to S22Rs and most likely will stick with them as they have been excellent so far.

Check the tire pressure before every ride.
Get 90° valve stems if you don't have them($15 a pair)
Keep your tires 36-38 psi cold front and rear.

Do,
Done a long time ago, and
Do....

Still scalloped after probably 3500kms and I rode them until around 4500kms but it never handled like it should with them being scalloped...

My brother had them on his RT and they did the same thing and he's pretty particular over his tire pressure.......I add this because I thought it was something I was doing....

My S21RS lasted around 6000kms but weren't scalloped, just worn out....I have a tendency to wear the rear tire flat due to a limited number of good corners around here.....

I'm lucky to get 3k miles a set on any sportbike.
I'm curious to see what I'll get on the Goldwing.

My buddy on his 2002 wing was running Dunlop Elite 4's and barely got 6k out of the rear.
Now he is running Darkside car tire and love's it

I can't do a car tire, lol.
It had a new rear with a couple hundred miles on it when I got it, and I put a new Elite 4 on the front.
I have put around a couple thosand miles on it, and so far the front shows no wear.
The rear had already started to cup, from Centramatic balancers and worn out suspension.
Centramatics came right off and Full Traxxion went on, lots of curves, and the rear tire's edges look much better now.

Does this count?

What year is the wing?

Traxxion Dynamics makes and has some awesome suspension upgrades.

Yep, I put on their Full Monty, which is AK-20 fork catridges, springs for my weight, with adjustable preload caps, a billet triple-clamp, and a rear shock, spring, and ss hydraulic line...it transformed the handling.
I also put on Heli-bars adjustable handlebars, shorty levers, a 12" Madstad windshield, EBC front and rear brake pads, K&N air-filter, Pathfinder high and low beam and foglights that are all leds, led front turn signals, a bluetooth adapter for the radio, a cb antenna delete plate, a short radio antenna, and it had a driver backrest, passenger armrests, and highway pegs on it when I got it.
I also took off the front floorboards, heel-toe shifter, and put a stock brake pedal back on it.
Probably forgot a few things, and plan on all ss brake and clutch lines, a front mc upgrade, and Henry's final drive differential.
I love this bike, it's a forever keeper.

They do, I'm going to do their full suspension on my '03 Gsxr1k too.

Yeah, that's what I put on mine
