Spring Bash 2008

Lol.. I meant i get home Early April.. not may.. all the dates get confusing..

I know the bash is in April.. I read all 11 freakin' pages of y'all talkin' about it.. (wasted like 30 minutes of work doing that)..

yep. i'm a newbie.. to the board.. know what a TRE is.. and didn't buy a Busa as my first bike! lol.
Sign up for some of the rookie rides at the Bash. There are so many great roads in the Smokies.

I'm already signed up for the Newbie skyway ride.. a nice 2 up ride for me and the girl.. but I'm trying to get up there during the week so I can actually ride the dragon without getting buzzed all day long by all the faster people than me

I will be there this year !
Hope to put the faces to the names guys !

Dear Friends

I'm a new 'Busa owner and would love to attend this event, but I'm a little unsure of where my wife would fit in. She's pregnant and is too scared of bikes to ride on the bike. If I came, she'd want to come, too, but she'd be in a car.

I don't how this would work out.

Maybe y'all will have a suggestion that I can take to her.

Do you mean she wants to ride or she wants to be there? If she wants to be there, then she should come. Riding will be tough depending on how far along she is. Welcome to the oRg.

Not alot for a person to do in Robbinsville other than ride. Lots of great Parks to visit and relax. She would have a great time in the evening at the cookout and fire pit. Some members will take a day trip to the Pigeon Forge area. The dragon is fun to run in a car too! She should come.

I think MCs wife stayed at the phillips last year with the kids. Might be wrong. But I say if she wants to come bring it on. It's a possibility she'll find another person or two hanging out, and between rides U can have some quality time. The nights will be great.

there are things to do in the area, heck the wed and thurs "rides" are really trips to places that dont have much to do with the bikes except we are riding to get ther and back

The ride friday is to Hooters, she can follow along in the car and see some amazing scenery and depending on what you choose for the return route, there's all kinds of stuff in Pigeon Forge and other places for her to check out and you can just ride back later. Plenty of things for her to do, I'd say bring her along, she will have plenty of fun and can probably hook up with other non-riders for something to do sat during the day

I know a few wives in the past have headed over to places on the weekends for shopping, just would recommend not going to cherokee on sat/sunday since the two big HD rallies are right there that weekend

I'm not sure if my wife is going or not. If so she probably won't be riding much as she would be bringing our 1 year old. I'm sure she would love some female company to hang out with.

I'll talk to her an post back.

Geo and the boys were with me last year... and the year before. They will end up making a trip to Gatlainbug (Sp) - The whole Hughes clan will be there again this year.. and if the Mrs comes with you, I will try not to steal your chair..

45 more days till I leave to go to the bash.

Man, I cant wait. Seems like from the time I leave one bash I am getting ready, anticipating, the next one. Gotta get new tires and install my new braided front brake lines I got from Charles at Street and Track in the next couple of weeks. I am still a little unsure about the install on the brake line, but I did buy a Mityvac to help the process, when I figure out how to use it.

Anyway, cant wait to see everyone and hope to meet some new folks also.

at this rate I am going to have to leave the "snow tires" on the busa...

I have arrived in Waynesville and spent the last 2 hours wishing I was on my bike instead of driving my 40' 5th wheel. Not to mention it was 42 outside and snowing. I can't believe I am getting paid to stay here

Well I got a room reserved for the 24th-26th at Fontana Village. Anyone else staying there?
