My cottage is full Thursday thru Saturday.

Still have 2 beds and a couch available on Wednesday night!

Well, it looks like I'm out for the Bash after all. My son's HS rugby team got an invite to play in the USA Rugby Under 19 State Championship game outside Nashville that weekend. I guess I'll be in Middle TN instead. Oh well.

On an up note, I ran the Dragon today. Weather was good and the photogs are getting ready for you guys. I didn't see any accidents but I saw evidence of some. Just be careful up there folks.

Dan, I am sorry your going to miss it, but I understand about your son, you gotta go to those events, once in a lifetime with your sons sports. Give me a call sometime, I will meet you at the gap and we can run the roads.

Tim :)

Hello bash'r' attendees- really, really wanting to make this run. If a one day deal was the only option, which day would be picked? Friday, Saturday or Sunday? Expected arrival - 10am; expected departure- 7pm on said day.
???

my guess based on previous years would be saturday...... but that also depends on your agenda. If you want to get alot of miles put on then probably sunday. If you just want to meet alot of people and have some pics taken and do some riding in groups then Saturday. :beerchug:

Question for those that know the area. Raybusa comes to mind. Starting to plan route for the GREAT white north, will be taking I 75 for most park and staying in Robbinsville.
Is 129 from Knoxville the best route? My concern is draggin a trailer through the DRAGON
Is there a quicker route?

Unfortunately yes its the best and dang near the only way. I've been out there 5 years and you can get to robbinsville another way but it will take considerably longer.

Just take it slow thru the dragon and bikers will go around you. If you can swing it, go through before 9am when everyone is still waking up. :beerchug:

Oh and we were driving a toyota tundra pulling an 18ft covered trailer

Thanks for the info...

We, I mean Dan, has pulled the trailer on the Dragon to the 2 Bashes we've been to - once in the dark. And this year will be no different. We haven't experienced anyone being impatient or difficult about us taking our time that I can remember.

Dan and Diana have you looked at I24 to I75 to US74 to US129 if you want to avoid the Dragon with the trailer...just a thought since you are coming from Texas.

+1 Since you aretravling south, anyone that knows what they are doing will see you go past the overlook and wait a few minute before following you.
