I always remember it at 9am not 10. I don't remember last year but the years prior it was rolling at 8 and shoot at 9, this way everyone could still get good rides in yet that day.Ummm...I think last year was what....10am? Anyone else confirm that? Depends on the arrangement with the photographer I imagine. We went kickstands up at 8am on Saturday morning for a memorial ride from the Philips if I remember correctly. After that we met up at the dam for the shoot.
Probably right Travis, I think last year was 10am because of the memorial ride first. It took quite awhile to get everyone through the Dragon, then back again to the CROT before we headed out to the damn. My video was about 38 minutes for the trip from the Phillips through the Dragon to the turn around before we broke for 10 mins of rest and picture taking then headed back out to the CROT.I always remember it at 9am not 10. Yeah, not advisable!
I am back on 2 wheels...so if everything goes as expected I will see you all the last weekend of April!
Seriously...NOT advisble...318 curves in 11 mies to be exact..
well its kinda like 11.35 miles but who is really counting
if anyone is going that hasnt been before, do your sight seeing from the passenger seat of the car on the way in... looking around while riding is generally unadviseable
Sightseeing? What are you talking about Zuk?? The best sightseeing to do on the Dragon is the road directly in front of you!!
exactly!
There's plenty to see up/down each side of the road however you better not be riding the bike while attempting to view it all
And the overlook was placed where it is because the folks making the road got tired and needed a resting place... kinda like most folks are after their first pass heading west

Oh come on brian.... the speed limit is only 25mph.... you can sight see all day at that pace!
??? 25? I guess I've been through there at 25mph once... once at 10mph, most of the time well..
In all seriousness for the newbies that are going, keep your eyes on the road, you never know just when something or someone stupid will pop out around the next bend. Check out the Killboy site for some truck examples
