Ok so I was undecided on what to get, I went and order a rear 42 and 43 supersprox sprocket from pashnit. Thank you pashnit for the great service!

Now what should I try on first 42 or 43?
I have a gen 1, I want a bit more acceleration and not lose to much top end.

It the second time I post on sprocket size and I know everyone as there own opinion on what size is the best, but I alway like what people have to say, please let me know what you think.

After I try both I will let you what I think. Im very busy with work this days so it will take me a couple of weeks before I try both size.

Thank you fellow members!

try out the 43, and if you don't like it put on the 42.

i just put on the 43 and i have to shift smoother but it's fun. :kem:

Try the 43 first. I have had a 43 for years now and it is so much better for me than the stock 40. Most of my riding is around town so top end is meaningless. On freeway 70mph the tach is about 4200 rpm. Just right for twisting to get out of trouble if needed.

I just put a 43 on 2 weeks ago and I think I will be going back to stock. For me I lost acceleration because it either spins or lifts the front end on me. Good luck

The rear sprocket shouldnt affect engine rpm should it??I thought the front sprocket would change that.:dunno:I went 45 to go with the bigger rear wheel.Guess we will see.

Go with the 43 if your chain has enough room for it.......like others said if you don't like it go back to the 42.
I run 16/42 on my 04 busa and love it......and with all the usual bolt-on mods I still get 44-45mpg on a reasonable ride....a little less if I'm in a heavy throttle handed mood that day

-1 down got me the wee bit of extra gas mileage I was looking for, bumps the bike over 50 mpg at times.

Do yourself a favor and order a 16 tooth front sprocket. Pair that with the 42 rear and it will be lights out game over! Just did that to mine a couple weeks ago and I still can't get over the difference:thumbsup:
