That's pretty close to stock and maybe a tad better but not by much. Can we run an 18 on a 99-07? I don't see one anywhere?
Was thinking 18/43 sounds good. Little more off the line.. but not much change.
Here you go.

+1 i am running 16/42 and i am changing the rear back to a 40 the 42 is nice around town but sucks on the highwayjust go down one in the front you will be happy
+1 thats was i have ,gas milage still over 40mpg... although if i was getting a new chain and sprockets i would probably go up 3 in the back.just go down one in the front you will be happy
I'm running 18/42, but there is very little gearing change from stock. I run it for the shortened wheelbase effect.hav any 1 tried 18/42?will it give more mid??dun need low end tat much, coz i'm more to high ways...pls enlighten
You can have one or the other. Not both. Lots of low end torque for wheelies, or lots of top end. You can get a happy medium, but you probably won't be happy with either. Figure out what you do more of and go that way. If you want the wheelie monster then you need to either go down on the front, up on the back, or both. If you want top end, do the opposite.i wish i knew what you guys were talking about. i don't know a whole lot. ..
i like doing wheelies.. but my problem is that i can't do them in anything other than 1st(really good) 2nd..(once in a while).. i was told if i changed my sprocket i would be able to do them in 2nd through 6th.....??
also, i love top speed.. but it stops at 186...pisses me off..
suggestions?? without flametory remarks please. to each his own.
